Hergest Ridge is the second studio album by English musician and songwriter Mike Oldfield, released on 28 August 1974 by Virgin Records. The unexpected commercial and critical success of his debut album Tubular Bells (1973) affected Oldfield, who decided against touring and avoided the press with his newfound fame. Instead, he retreated to Hergest Ridge on the England–Wales border and wrote the follow-up, which he recorded in 1974 at The Manor in Oxfordshire, with Tom Newman returning as co-producer. Similar to Oldfield's first, the album is a single composition split into two parts covering different moods and musical styles.

Five Miles Out is the seventh record album by English multi-instrumentalist and composer Mike Oldfield, released in 1982. It is one of the very few albums on which Oldfield sings lead vocals, as he is noted for not having any confidence in his voice's qualities. The album produced two singles.

While living in Villars, Oldfield also composed the soundtrack to the soundtrack to The Killing Fields (1984). Selections from the two were released as The 1984 Suite, in 2016.

Crises is the eighth studio album by English multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Mike Oldfield, released on 27 May 1983 on Virgin Records. It marked the continuation of Oldfield's change in musical direction that had started with his previous album Five Miles Out (1982), signified by more commercial and straightforward rock and pop songs. The album contains the hit singles "Moonlight Shadow" featuring Maggie Reilly on lead vocals and "Shadow on the Wall", sung by Roger Chapman. Oldfield supported the album with the Crises Tour across Europe in 1983 that featured most of the musicians that played on the album.

Tubular Bells II is the fifteenth studio album by English guitarist and songwriter Mike Oldfield. It was released on 31 August 1992 by Warner Music UK and is the successor to his debut album Tubular Bells (1973). It was Oldfield's first album for Warner after having worked with Virgin Records for twenty years. Like its predecessor, Tubular Bells II charted at number 1 in the UK Albums Chart and spun off a top 10 single, "Sentinel".

The Songs of Distant Earth is the sixteenth studio album by English musician, songwriter and producer Mike Oldfield, released on 21 November 1994 by WEA. It is a concept album based on the 1986 science fiction novel The Songs of Distant Earth by Arthur C. Clarke. The album reached No. 24 on the UK Albums Chart.

Guitars is the 19th studio album written and performed by British musician Mike Oldfield, released in 1999. The concept of the album was to only perform it using guitar-like instruments.

Earth Moving is the 12th record album by British musician Mike Oldfield, released in 1989. Unlike Oldfield's albums released prior to Earth Moving, the album contains no instrumental tracks.

It’s fair to assume that most punters who go to a Rick Wakeman concert expect to hear a bit of Yes, so the maestro decided to form The Yes Suite for band and choir to be played at the London Palladium last year. It proved so popular that he adapted the idea for solo piano and called it Yessonata, incorporating a multitude of themes from Wakeman’s time with Yes (because you’ll be damned if you hear him playing any Relayer).

The Other Side of Life is the twelfth studio album by English progressive rock band the Moody Blues, released in April 1986 by Polydor Records.
This was the first Moody Blues album since 1978's Octave, and only the second since 1969's On the Threshold of a Dream, not to be released by their custom label, Threshold Records.
