Flash Gordon is the first soundtrack album and ninth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 8 December 1980 by EMI Records in the UK and on 27 January 1981 by Elektra Records in the US. It is one of two film soundtracks that they produced, along with Highlander. It is the soundtrack to the science fiction film Flash Gordon and features lyrics on only two tracks. "Flash's Theme" was the only single to be released from the album, under the title "Flash". The album reached number 10 on the UK charts and number 23 on the US Billboard 200.

"Xanadu" is the title song from the soundtrack of the 1980 musical film of the same name. Written by Jeff Lynne of the English rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), the song is performed by British and Australian singer, songwriter and actress Olivia Newton-John, with Lynne adding parenthetic vocals in the style of his other songs on the Xanadu soundtrack, and ELO providing the instrumentation. It was Lynne's least favourite of his own songs.

Ancient is an album by Japanese new age artist, Kitarō, which was released in 2000.
The album was nominated for 44th Grammy Awards New Age Best Album in 2002.

You know those times when you are watching a movie and you hear a song as part of the soundtrack and you believe you recognize the artist. So, you watch the credits to the end and you find out that you were right about what you heard and the artist. Next you start scouring your albums/CDs and searching their body of work to find that song. No luck at all.
Well, look no further when it comes to Sting. This CD had a number of songs I had heard while watching movies and a whole lot more I hadn't come across. I was very pleasantly surprised. You will not be disappointed if you are a Sting fan.

This considered collection trawls the movie soundtracks of the past twenty years and gathers together, in one place, some outstanding tracks. Ignore the fact the album is billed as "Sting At The Movies", and the album contains four Police songs - at least one of which was co-written with Andy Summers ('Murder By Numbers'). Instead, let's look at the songs themselves. Hits such as 'De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da' and 'Englishman In New York' sit very comfortably alongside the smoky, atmospheric songs from Leaving Las Vegas', 'Angel Eyes' and 'My One And Only Love', and Sabrina's' 'Moonlight' Sting's voice is made for such tracks, and it's a shame that 'It's A Lonesome Old Town' couldn't make it through to the final tracklist, perhaps at the expense of the rather syrupy, but number one hit 'All For Love'.

Killer Cuts is a soundtrack album released and packaged with the video game Killer Instinct on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in August 30, 1995.

1492: Conquest of Paradise is a 1992 music score to the film of the same name by Greek electronic composer and artist Vangelis. The film, a recount of the voyage to America in 1492 by Christopher Columbus, was directed by Ridley Scott, for whom Vangelis had previously composed the music score for Blade Runner, in 1982. The album and the single "Conquest of Paradise" enjoyed a revival in 1995 for various reasons and broke many sales records.

I like this recording, although not as much as the official soundtracks. These arrangements are not those heard in the film, but redone by one of the composers (Coppola, d.1991). That's not necessarily a bad thing, however. On the bright side, it includes many songs not found on the standard soundtracks, including some found in The Godfather's Family Wedding Album, which is perhaps the best of all the Godfather soundtracks.

Themes from Calmi Cuori Appassionati is a soundtrack album by Irish singer, songwriter and musician Enya, released in Japan on 30 October 2001 by WEA International. It is compiled of previously released songs recorded between 1986 and 2000 that were used for the soundtrack to the 2001 Japanese romantic film Calmi Cuori Appassionati.
Effectively a "greatest hits" collection, given its inclusion of most of Enya's best-known recordings, the album entered the Japanese album chart at number two, and become Enya's second album after Paint the Sky with Stars – The Very Best of Enya (1997) to sell one million copies in the country, despite the fact many of the tracks on this release were also included on Paint the Sky with Stars.
