“Purgatory Afterglow” – альбом предельно разнообразный, в рамках, конечно, своей тогда ещё ортодоксальной стилистики. Материал представлен на любой вкус. ... Потому что свой монументальный шедевр Edge of Sanity представят публике два года спустя. И потому что последняя композиция “Song Of Sirens” музыкально совсем не вписывается в канву альбома, партии вокала на ней исполнил гитарист Андреас Аксельссон, голосивший в своё время на дебютнике Marduk. А так, Дэн Свано, Edge Of Sanity, плюс обложка работы Кристиана Валина. Что ещё надо? Одним словом: классика, сейчас такого не делают.
