Альбом вызвал противоречивые чувства. С одной стороны – явное опопсение, причем сознательное (а другим оно и не бывает). С другой стороны, опопсение произведено, так сказать, по-честному. Что имеется в виду? В конце концов, главный и в сущности единственный недостаток попсы – неискренность. Что же делает Мортен? За основу берется группа Evanescence, чья главная интонация – интимный надрыв, призванный передать эмоциональные страдания молодой девушки. И в альбоме ясно видно, как искренне и старательно Мортен пытается вжиться в этот настрой, проникнуться им и выразить его в музыке, как настойчиво пытается эксплуатировать именно эту струнку своей души, добиваясь максимальной простоты и выразительности вокальной мелодии (зачастую не без успеха), одним словом, «перевоплотиться».
