Как-то это всё прошло мимо меня, но на данный момент немецкая группа Lucifer активно собирает вокруг себя сторонников, в то время как многие поклонники тяжёлой музыки даже называют их новой надеждой классического металла. В то же самое время издания вроде Metal Hammer и Classic Rock активно генерируют хайп вокруг их творчества, а каждый новый их альбом удостаивается просто космических похвал. Так что если вы, как и я, провели последние лет пять где-нибудь под большим и сырым камнем, то вам примерная диспозиция: Lucifer - это проект немецкой вокалистки Иоанны Садонис, который она основала после безвременного распада группы Oath. Исходно одним из его участников был Газ Дженнингс, которого вы можете знать по его работе в Cathedral, - именно этим фактом, скорее всего, объясняется то, что музыка Lucifer с самого начала была пропитана духом дум-металла. Их неторопливые гитарные риффы и атмосферный звуковой напор можно сравнить с ранним творчеством Black Sabbath. Однако этим их творчество не исчерпывалось, - со своей стороны Иоанна вдохнула в песни Lucifer энергетику тяжёлого рока восьмидесятых, что выражается в хитовых и запоминающихся мелодиях и общей композиционной стройности.
