Celtic Frost – это группа, которая оказала большое влияние на все развитие тяжелой музыки. Их третья работа "To Mega Therion" - одна из тех, которые задали вектор развития многих жанров металл-сцены. Звучание на альбоме хоть и выполненное в одном ключе, все-таки содержит множество составных протоэлементов современного metal-движения. Для альбома характерно наслоение thrash-ритма многих композиций на атмосферу doom-metal. Вокал Фишера, как будто что-то декламирующий, на всем альбоме остается одинаково неспешным, выкрикивающим фразы.
