Сухой, яростный скриминг Легиона и отсутствие прежней глубокой меланхолии, под которую так хорошо предаваться раздумьям – вот признаки того, что второй диск Ophthalamia наполнен сдержанной, не находящей себе подходящего выхода яростью. Девиз из интро - «Behold Ophthalamian so fearsome in its might!» - мог бы стать хорошим эпиграфом ко всему альбому. Но гнев наполнил «Via Dolorosa» ровно настолько, чтобы не исказить старых выразительных средств: музыка по большей части все так же нетороплива, хотя и менее разнообразна.
