Звучание инструментов своеобразно, но в то же время типично для Darkthrone. Сами музыканты говорили, что пытались добиться в плане звука чего-то среднего между «Blood.Fire.Death» Bathory и дебютником Black Sabbath. Картонный звук ударных не портит впечатление от альбома, так как приоритет в создании музыкального полотна все же отдан шуму тарелок. Отдельного упоминания заслуживают попытки музыкантов изобразить гитарные соло (хорошо, что попытками и остались). Но, конечно же, упрекать в подобном раздолбайстве дарктроновцев – чистейшей воды глупость; они были бы не они, если бы не плюнули в лицо любителям хорошего звука,
