Этот альбом является шагом вперед, по сравнению со всем прошлым творчеством этой современной английской группы прогрессивного Doom Metal-а, последователей – не подражателей – ранних Black Sabbath. Радует дальнейшее смягчение саунда в направлении 70-х, великолепный Ozzy-подобный вокал и еще более активное введение клавишных и акустической гитары. И если предыдущий альбом вызывал больше ассоциаций с "Master of Reality", то данный с "Vol.4". Развитие продолжается? Однако, не думаю, что обитатели Cathedral-a ставят перед собой недостижимые цели – и дальше расти в соответствии со своими кумирами. Хотя вариант «второго» "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" им, возможно, и по плечу, но далее усложнять свою музыку эта команда не станет.
