К сожалению после данной работы группа вновь сошла с дистанции, и на следующий год фанам пришлось удовольствоваться подарком от голландского лейбла Displeased, выпустившего сборник раннего демоматериала и концертных треков под названием "Messages In Blood". Несколько лет о команде ничего не было слышно, а 27 мая 2002 года пришло известие о смерти Тони Боно, скончавшегося от сердечного приступа в возрасте 38 лет. Как выяснилось позже, это был еще не конец истории Whiplash, и в 2008-м Портаро с Канджелоси при участии Рича Дэя возродили проект, пообещав выпустить альбом "Unborn Again".
