Athelstan и Wulfstan решили сразу же записать полный альбом, а не тратить время на демо, в надежде, что ими заинтересуются крупные компании. Так что уже в августе 1998 Forefather записывают свой дебютный альбом "Deep into Time".Запись сделана уже к концу месяца. 22 марта 1999 года альбом выпускается силами Angelic Enterprises (компания, которую создали сами Athelstan и Wulfstan), и с этого начинается настоящая история группы.
