Поначалу музыку «Праотца» отнесли к викинг-блеку, однако музыканты воспротивились, заявив, что играют «saxon metal». Называть это можно как угодно, результат от этого не изменится. Диск очень эмоциональный, колоритный, самобытный и, к тому же, кишмя кишит хитами. Музыканты очень дружат со своими инструментами, что не может не радовать, и вполне ознакомлены с понятиями «мелодика» и «композиция». Неудивительно, что чувствуется влияние Bathory, ведь группе данного стиля сравнений с Квортоном не избежать. Мне понравились вокалы (и чистый, и скримовый), они добавляют пластинке шарма и звучат очень полновесно.
