Но вернемся к событиям, последовавшим выход оперы в свет. Ценители творчества исполнителей пополнили свои коллекции, критики, выполнив свои обязанности, дали никчемные "однозвездочные" оценки, а для остального музыкального мира это событие прошло незамеченным. Питер Хэммилл писал в мартовском Новостном Письме от 1992 года: "...Спасибо всем за поддержку и комментарии... Что же касается постановки и съемок/видео/ТВ, скажу, что все это еще остается в моих планах и даже есть прогресс в последнем вопросе, но пока ничего конкретного... Надеюсь, что жизнь 'Ашера' протянется дольше, чем у любой другой работы, и в последующие годы это будет доказано. А пока что я работаю над усовершенствованием 'Сюиты Родерик Ашер' для сольных выступлений, которую я исполнил в конце прошлого года в Queen Elizabeth Hall" (и нередко исполнял на последующих концертах в начале 90-х годов).
