Первое демо, "Tristesse Hivernale", было спродюсировано Neige совместно с Famine и издано на Drakkar Productions в 2001 году. На данном этапе музыка представляла собой холодный и мелодичный блэк-метал, инспирированный любовью к меланхоличной и мистичной атмосфере зимних пейзажей севера. Сразу после выхода демо, Neige остался в группе один, решив посвятить свои силы на раскрытие более личных тем в своей группе.
