Что касается американцев Underoath, то по сравнению с их последней на данный момент работой "Define the Great Line" является не таким хитовым и разнообразным. Хотя здесь и намешано несколько разных стилевых компонентов, но ему еще далеко до экспериментов, которые парни проводили на "Lost in the Sound of Separation". Взяв за основу сочетание альтернативы и хардкора, и разбавив его элементами шугейза и пост-хардкора, музыканты, в итоге, получили нечто, местами напоминающее 30 Seconds to Mars, местами My Bloody Valentine, а иногда их можно принять за очередную американскую пост-хардкор-формацию.
