The Bridget Kelly Band is back in action with its eagerly-awaited sixth record Dark Spaces, thanks to Alpha Sun Records. The BKB has made the semifinals in the ultra-competitive International Blues Challenge twice and gone all the way to the top of the Roots Music Report’s Electric Blues chart. Bridget Kelly is the vocal focus and shows herself to be a multifaceted singer with her own ideas about how to perform roots music. She delves into both vintage and contemporary blues styles in depth on Dark Spaces and also delivers lyrics of substance with relevant messages. Her partner in crime is guitarist/producer/songwriter Tim Fik, who brings the instrumental firepower to these tracks that he also co-wrote and produced. Together, they’re a formidable creative force well able to make you groove and think at the same time.

Like the Prodigal Son, Bill Blue has returned from the wilderness. It’s been 30 years since he stepped into the studio, but he’s returned with a vengeance.
Blue – that’s his real name – was a young man when he met ‘50s superstar Arthur “Big Boy” Crudup. That encounter changed Blue’s life forever. Instead of struggling as a guitarist in his native North Carolina, he was soon touring the world with the man who some folks considered the father of rock ‘n’ roll and who wrote a string of classics, including “Mean Ol’ Frisco,” “My Mama Don’t Allow Me” and the Elvis Presley hit, “That’s All Right.”

Big Joe Shelton was honored in 2007 by being included on the “Columbus / Cat Fish Alley” Mississippi Blues Trail Marker. He was deeply influenced by Joe Williams, who was a friend as well as an instructor. Ben Ferrell (on guitar) fires out of the gate with a repetitive, uptempo guitar hook to kick off the opener, while Big Joe’s harp provides constant reminders of his talent. His CDs have been listed in the top ten on numerous national and international blues radio charts; "Ridin" A Chicken" is a definite part of that success.

Joe Bonamassa: An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House, to be released in March 2013, was recorded at the historic Vienna Opera House last July during a very special two-week long unplugged tour, played to a limited audience over seven exclusive European shows. Varying from his predominantly electric blues shows, this presentation was an all-acoustic concert performance, making it a unique and very special show fans had been waiting years to experience.
Produced by long-time collaborator Kevin Shirley, Joe is supported on his vintage acoustic instruments by an eclectic assortment of craftsmen from around the globe. They include: Gerry O Connor, a music historian and traditional Irish fiddler from many generations of Irish music, on Irish fiddle, mandolin, and Irish banjo; Swedish multi-instrumentalist Mats Wester will play the Nyckelharpa, a Swedish keyed-fiddle; Los Angeles keyboard maestro Arlan Schierbaum, whose extensive recording career focuses on organic instruments, plays accordions, celeste, toy pianos, and more; and legendary Puerto Rican percussionist, Lenny Castro, whose works spans genres and reads like a who's who of artists, including the Rolling Stones, Sir Elton John, Eric Clapton, Boz Scaggs, Toto, Stevie Wonder, David Sanborn, Avenged Sevenfold, Little Feat, Tom Petty, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more.
