Пятый полноформатник норвежцев Blood Red Throne под руководством бывшего участника Emperor "Чорта" представляет собой чуть ли не идеальный образчик современного смертельного метала. Тут всё прописано и сделано как бы по неким негласным правилам жанра. Сокрушительные риффы (порой явно с трэшевым уклоном), вытягивающие душу из тела гитарные соло, безжизненный и не отклоняющийся ни на йоту в сторону суровый гроул, стабильная, как работа бензопилы, ритм-секция, и всё это вдобавок приправлено мелодиями. Этот квинтет мало интересуют какие-то новшества, они верны раз и навсегда выбранной колее дэт-металла.

Вот как должен звучать industrial metal. Вот к чему должен стремиться aggro-industrial. Существует множество точек зрения на то, какой альбом является лучшим симбиозом металла и индастриала, но мне все же кажется, что Die Krupps еще в 1997 году обошли всех на годы вперед. По одной только мощи гитар "Paradise Now" оставил позади большинство других альбомов данного жанра. Но это ничего бы не стоило без таких достоинств диска как изобилие индустриальных шумов и сэмплов, не столько электронных, сколько именно техногенных, урбанистичных, коими совсем немногие деятели индустриальных рока и металла нас радуют. И самое главное, что делает этот альбом индустриальным произведением высшего класса - соответствующая лирика и ее подача, которая бьет по мозгам, даже если вы совершенно незнакомы с английским. Вокал Юргена Энглера то спокоен и задумчив, то ожесточен и брутален. Но это не та агрессия, которая является требованием жанра в экстремальных направлениях металла, это не та ненависть, которая так модна в альтернативе. Здесь мы слышим скорее крик души, праведный гнев человека, созерцающего все социальные процессы, ведущие мир и общество к гибели, разочаровавшегося в человечестве, грозящего небу кулаком и рвущего на себе волосы от безысходности и страха не столько за свою судьбу, сколько за судьбу всего человечества.

Переизданный на легендарном лейбле “Metal Blade Records”, диск содержит в себе помимо 8 песен с оригинального трэк-листа альбома и один бонус, представленный неплохой песней «Last Laugh» с первой демки 80-года. Итак, музыка Cirith Ungol представляет собой мрачноватый хэви-метал, разбавленный классическим тягучим думом наподобие Saint Vitus и классическим хард-роком образца 70-х. Качество звука даже после переиздания не отличается высоким уровнем, но вполне приемлемо, за исключением слишком режущих соло-партий гитары. Музыканты владеют инструментами неплохо, частенько радуя слушателей недурными акустическими проигрышами и четкой, слаженной игрой. Атмосфера альбома, нагнетаемая тягучими риффами и своеобразной мелодикой, довольно-таки мрачная, эпичная и местами даже депрессивная.

The Silent Force is the third studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation, released on 15 November 2004, by GUN Records. On 5 August 2008, The Silent Force along with Mother Earth were released in the United States by Roadrunner Records. This album is the first to feature Ruud Jolie on lead guitar, as well as Martijn Spierenburg on keyboards, after Martijn Westerholt had to leave the band due to illness. It is also the first to feature Daniel Gibson as their producer. The album deepened the band symphonic approach, this time featuring more atmospheric songs that resemble the predominant fantasistic lyrics, inspired both by literature and the band members personal lives.

The album features mainly fantasy and nature themes and was a sleeper hit in the band's heartland, entering the Dutch charts at number eighty-two, by the end of 2000, and only managing to reach its peak third position two years later with the second release of the single Ice Queen. Enter is the debut studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation, released by DSFA Records in 1997. After the band became more widely known in foreign markets, it was re-released by the independent label Season of Mist in North America in 2007, and by Nuclear Blast in 2014. It is produced by their longtime producer Daniel Gibson, alongside Mathijs Tieken and Within Temptation. The album marks the first time the band opted for releasing a full record without the support of a major record label. The Unforgiving is the fifth studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation, released by Roadrunner Records on 29 March 2011. It was a concept album as one part of a transmedia storytelling project, which accompanied the release of three short films and a series of six comic books. Mother Earth is the second studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation. Originally released on 24 December 2000 in the Netherlands, and 21 August 2001 in other parts of Europe. The album was licensed to be released in Germany and neighboring countries through GUN Records in January 2003 as a special extended edition with four bonus tracks. The same edition reached the United Kingdom through Sanctuary Records with a release in September 2004. The album was re-released by Roadrunner Records on 28 September 2007, with bonus live tracks.

Очередной перл в дискографии группы, коих, на самом-то деле, не так уж и много. Справедливости ради, стоит заметить, что ныне единственный капитан, Конечко, склоняется к более живой музыке, всё оттесняя индустриальную составляющую на задний план. Самый лучший альбом MDB, который до сих пор они выпустили. Тут все уравновешенно. И печаль, но не занудство. И музыка, и текст. Фирменные скрипки. Великолепные нерастянутые мелодии. В прошлых альбомах было довольно много размытости. Тут все четко. Каждая песня - запоминается и глубоко врезается в память. Этот диск хочется слушать еще и еще. На "For You" был снят отличный клип. Многим людям не нравится MDB именно из-за нудных монотонных мелодий, которые быстро надоедает слушать. Мой им совет - послушайте этот диск. Вместе с "34.788% .. complete" этот альбом занимает лучшее место в музыкальной коллекции любого меломана.
