Whaler is the second album by American singer-songwriter Sophie B. Hawkins, released in 1994.

It contains the U.S. #1 single "Holding Back the Years", the band's most successful single, and a cover of The Valentine Brothers' "Money's Too Tight (to Mention)". Three other singles were released from the album: "Come to My Aid", "Jericho", and "Open Up the Red Box".
The album helped Simply Red earn a 1987 Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. "Holding Back the Years" was also nominated for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals.

The album was released on November 14, 2005, peaking at number seven on the UK Albums Chart, selling more than 600,000 copies in the United Kingdom. The album was later certified double platinum by the BPI. Three singles were released from the album: "Lay Your Hands", which peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart, "No Worries", which also peaked at number four, and "After All This Time", which peaked at number 16.

Laundry Service (Spanish: Servicio de Lavandería) is the fifth studio album by Colombian singer and songwriter Shakira, globally released on 13 November 2001 by Epic Records. It is her first album to be primarily recorded in English. After the release of her fourth studio album Dónde Están los Ladrones?, which became a success in Latin America, Shakira was encouraged by American singer Gloria Estefan to record songs in English as she believed the singer had the potential to crossover into the English-language pop market. The title of the album was chosen to reflect Shakira's views on love and music.
