Fear of a Black Planet is the third studio album by American hip hop group Public Enemy, released on April 10, 1990, by Def Jam Recordings and Columbia Records. It was produced by the group's production team The Bomb Squad, who sought to expand on the dense, sample-layered sound of Public Enemy's previous album, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back (1988). The lead single, "Don't Call Me Angel", by Grande, Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey, was released on September 13. The soundtrack's second single, "How It's Done", by Kash Doll, Kim Petras, Alma and Stefflon Don, was released on October 11 with the album's pre-order. The soundtrack also features contributions from Normani, Nicki Minaj, Anitta, Chaka Khan, Victoria Monét, and Tayla Parx.

Unleash the Dragon is the debut solo studio album by American R&B singer Sisqó of Dru Hill, released on November 30, 1999, on Def Soul. Sisqó recorded the album during Dru Hill's hiatus. It includes the hit songs "Got to Get It", "Incomplete", and "Thong Song". Previously, Sisqo had been the lead singer of the group Dru Hill. Recorded by Island Records, the group released two multi-platinum albums to date: Dru Hill (1996) and Enter the Dru (1998). In 2003, the album was certified quintuple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipment of five million copies in the United States.

Let's Get Ready is the fourth studio album by American rapper Mystikal, released on September 26, 2000. The album debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 330,663 copies in its first week.
