Шведская death metal группа ETERNAL OATH была создана в 1991 году. В первый состав вошли барабанщик Тед Йонссон, вокалист Йони Мяенсиву, гитарист Петри Тарвайнен и басист Тед Лундстрем. Вскоре к ним присоединился еще один гитарист по имени Дэниель Дзиуба.В марте 1998 года ETERNAL OATH приступают к записи своего первого полноформатного альбома под названием Through The Eyes Of Hatred, который был выпущен на сингапурском лэйбле Pulverised Records.
