Началом творческой деятельности легендарной немецкой дэт-метал-группы Obscenity можно считать 1989 год, когда четыре обычных немецких молодых парня решили собрать дэт-металлическую банду, которая олицетворяла бы всю непристойность дэт-метала. Уже в 1992 году группа записала первое демо под названием "Age of Brutality". За достаточно короткий промежуток времени демка стала настолько популярна среди металлического андеграунда, что звукозаписывающие компании не могли не обратить внимание на молодую и достаточно перспективную команду.
