Первый релиз Isis – это повод для размышлений, если вы уже знакомы с поздним творчеством группы, и просто первая ласточка впечатляющих экземпляров экспериментального хардкора, если это название вам вдруг мало чего говорит. Стиль группы чувствуется сразу же в медленных, подготовительных частях (вступление к “Poison Eggs” – это Isis на все времена), тяжеленные хардкоровые риффы, как и экстремальный вокал, тоже уже встречались, но только не в таком бескомпромиссном проявлении. На «Mosquito Control», похоже, единственный основополагающий принцип - гротесковый хаос.
