Funeral Mist - довольно старая и уважаемая группа, тем не менее, остававшаяся практически всё время в тени своих многочисленных шведских конкурентов. Первые демо представляли с собой традиционный сырой блэк, однако уже с MCD "Devilry" они нашли своё оригинальное звучание: искрящийся неистовой злобой brutal black с артистичным, широкодиапазонным (в пределах скрима/полугроула, естественно) вокалом, а также мрачными эмбиет-эффектами и сэмплами в промежутках между песнями.
