Новый альбом американских «богоубивцев» не произвел переворота в стиле. Предыдущий был цельным релизом, был очень, я бы даже сказал, гипер-мелодичным для такой дэт-метал группы, как Deicide. Здесь я надеялся услышать что-то в духе «Stench of…», но услышал немного не то. Все, конечно же, брутально, тяжело и качественно, соляки Сантолы такие же профессиональные и скоростные, как и раньше. Альбом слушается резво, на одном дыхании. Отмечу очень плотный звук и шикарнейшую работу Стива Ашейма за барабанной установкой.

Одна из сильнейших брутальных работ за всю дет-металлическую историю. Не так круто, как на следующем "Torture Pit", но практически безупречно. Звук высочайшего уровня, монструозный вокал, сокрушительнейший напор и действительно классные рифы. На протяжении всех четырех (на данный момент) альбомов Debauchery рубят простую, но дьявольски притягательную музыку, которая запоминается с первых аккордов и доставляет слушателю неописуемое удовольствие. Прослушивание одного трека эквивалентно просмотру хорошего боевика - очень просто, красиво, захватывающе и легко. Никакого напряжения для уставшего от работы мозга.

Основная тема альбома – Конец Света, появление и путешествие по Земле Всадников Апокалипсиса. Этот альбом – яркий представитель melodic trash-death metal. Музыка очень разнообразная и большей частью мелодичная и быстрая. Треки не задавлены, сведение хорошее, дикция отличная, ритм треков может меняться несколько раз на протяжении одного трека. Музыка альбома построена так, что создается ощущение скачки на конях.Большое количество trash-metal гитарных соло. Создается впечатление, что группа решила выжать из гитар все, что можно, и показать всем классную, качественную и виртуозную игру на гитарах, которые, в принципе, лидируют и вынесены на передний план. Все ударные живые, и голос по большей части тоже “живой”, но в паре треков пропущен через электронику.

Flag was a watershed album for the group. On one hand, it is a refinement of all the ideas the band had been following through the '80s, on the other, in the wake of their high-profile success with "Oh Yeah," Yello had reached the point where ideas turned into self-parody -- the cover art of Deiter Meier and Boris Blank pulled together into a human knot is horrifically appropriate. Nothing is a surprise here, apart from how "The Race" is a Xerox of their own 1981 song "Bostich." Tracks like "Of Course I'm Lying" are empty exercises in suave, like late-period Roxy Music without the pedigree.

Поскольку DEFLESHED играют именно дэт. Дэт, прямо скажем, ничего особенного собой не представляющий. Впрочем, возможно таким он кажется в 2003 году? Ведь “Abrah Kadavrah” увидел свет в 1996-ом, а “Ma Belle Scalpelle” – в 1994-ом. Помимо этого – два концертных трэка. Плюсы? Шикарная лирика, некоторое количество интересных пассажей, в частности, скрипка в одном из трэков с “Abrah Kadavrah”. Минусы – своего рода архаичная прямолинейность… а также, не смейтесь, отсутствие «кармашка» для буклета в digipack’е. Впрочем, это уже из разряда придирок… В целом, можно сказать следующее: поклонники стиля плеваться явно не будут. Возможно, не будут плеваться и другие…

Yello's music have always had a distinct cinematic feel to it. But despite popping up on a handful of soundtracks, they've never done a complete score. And probably having a wish to do one, members Boris Blank and Dieter Meyer simply composed twelve songs based on excerpts from imaginary films (or perhaps episodes) and recorded an album suitably called "Motion Picture".
Still, this rather original approach stays within the frames of what essentially could be defined as a typical Yello production. Meaning that you get your share of Dadaist folly, Dieter Meyer's spoken word and some high tech latino rhythms.

Chariots of Fire is a 1981 musical score by Greek electronic composer Vangelis (credited as Vangelis Papathanassiou) for the British film Chariots of Fire, which won four Academy Awards including Best Picture and Original Music Score.

The album topped the Billboard 200 for 4 weeks. It reached #2 in Canada, #5 in the UK, #5 in Australia, and #6 in New Zealand.

The opening theme of the film, called "Titles" on the album track listing but widely known as "Chariots of Fire", was released as a single; on the Billboard Hot 100 it reached #1 and stayed there for one week.

"You're Makin' Me High" is the lead single from American singer Toni Braxton's second studio album, Secrets (1996). The mid-tempo song represents a joint collaboration between the Grammy Award-winning producer Babyface and Bryce Wilson. The beat of the song was originally for singer-songwriter Brandy, with Dallas Austin pegged to write a lyric to override; however, Braxton had Babyface write lyrics for the song. "Un-Break My Heart" is a song by American singer Toni Braxton for her second studio album, Secrets (1996). The song was written by Diane Warren and produced by David Foster. It was released as the second single from the album on October 7, 1996 (Braxton's 29th birthday), through LaFace Records. The song is a ballad about a "blistering heartbreak" in which the singer begs a former lover to return and undo the pain he has caused.
