Напористый и эпичный death, представленный на этом диске, продолжает линию предыдущих альбомов Нергала сотоварищи. Только на этот раз мы слышим гораздо больше «долбы». Непрекращающееся барабанное безумство сметает все на своем пути, а к концу альбома даже начинает утомлять. Технически совершенная гитара радует как навороченными соло, так и агрессивным «чесом». Вокал Нергала стал еще более профессиональным и обрел гораздо большую эмоциональность и экспрессивность. В отношении ярких мелодий альбом слабее своих предшественников, но этот недостаток с лихвой окупается непередаваемой атмосферой мрака и ярости.

Авангардная музыка – понятие вместимое, Madder Mortem – более чем опытные ее резиденты в металическом стане, уже не первый раз успешно соединяющие под названным прикрытием и элементы джаза, и меланхолию, и резкие, экспрессивные металические риффы. Меланхолии за прошедшее время, впрочем, стало значительно меньше, а динамики и эмоциональности в поначалу достаточно спокойном материале Madder Mortem, напротив, прибавилось. Так что приставку «готик-» из графы стиля можно вычеркивать уже без всяких оговорок. Да и того, что принято называть «металом», на альбоме уже не так много. Не вписываются в его рамки ни чувственный голос Агнет Киркевааг, ни многочисленные смены настроений, а меньше всего - расслабленная, отрешенная атмосфера музыки.

Вокалист, гитарист и творческий лидер группы sGolden сказал: "Грядущий альбом будет, действительно, в чем-то кардинально отличаться от предыдущего. В музыкальном плане он содержит самые значительные и сильные композиции, когда-либо записанные нами. Темная атмосфера сочетается с прогрессивным подходом. И фактически, только вокал Ральфа в песне «The Wild Hunt» напоминал о металлическом прошлом «Тэриона». Основная же часть голосов находилась в диапазоне альт – сопрано. И хоры, хоры! Их было так же много, и они остались почти такими же, как и на альбоме «Theli»... Только стали глубже, красивее и мягче.

Что и говорить, к 93-му у меня особое отношение. Для наиболее совершенных форм thrash и death metal, этот год всё равно, что 86-й для зубодробительной классики трэша. Наши сегодняшние пациенты примечательны тем, что предложили свою трактовку (приправленную душком индастриала) композиционно разнообразного death. При ознакомлении с составом, понимаешь, что сообщество этих известных личностей, скорее всего, не было удовлетворено своей работой в основных коллективах. Описываемый альбом характерен тем, что музыканты не имеющие прямого отношения к technical & progressive течениям, создали нечто неразрывно связанное с этими стилями. Компоненты, раздели их по частям, не дадут самобытного проявления. Другое дело, что их совокупность представляется неким неогранённым алмазом.

Confessions is the fourth studio album by American singer Usher. It was released on March 23, 2004, by Arista Records. Recording sessions for the album took place during 2003 to 2004, with its production handled by his longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri, along with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and Lil Jon, among others.
