Очередная прогрессивная группа, в которой ударником зарабатывает себе на хлеб именитый Хэллхаммер выпускает свой уже 3-й по счет альбом, и не устает затягивать то усталую и тоскливую, то чуть более энергичную песню. Это не плохо, ведь пользу эстетической релаксации никто не отменял. Что ж, новый альбом Winds сохранил в себе металическую твердость, хоть все признаки явления «зубы заговариваем» остались, но вроде бы не преумножились, что также радует, но, боюсь, это последнее... Приличные, естественно неглупые, тяжелые риффы обеспечивают надежную опору остальному вроде как «факультативному» музицированию.

Nursery Cryme is the third studio album by the English rock band Genesis, released in November 1971 on Charisma Records. It was their first to feature drummer/vocalist Phil Collins and guitarist Steve Hackett. The album received a mixed response from critics and was not initially a commercial success; it did not enter the UK chart until 1974, when it reached its peak at No. 39. Invisible Touch is the 13th studio album by the English rock band Genesis, released on 6 June 1986 by Atlantic Records in the United States and 9 June 1986 by Charisma and Virgin Records in the United Kingdom. After taking a break in group activity for each member to continue with their solo projects in 1984, the band reconvened in October 1985 to write and record Invisible Touch with engineer and producer Hugh Padgham. As with their previous album, it was written entirely through group improvisations and no material developed prior to recording was used.

General response to Requiem for the Indifferent was positive. AllMusic stated that the album "is a typically elaborate and ambitious affair, incorporating copious amounts of choral work and classical arrangements into the band's neatly established blend of goth, progressive, power, and symphonic metal." Natalie Zed of About.com staff considers Requiem for the Indifferent "a transitional album for the band", which tries to expand their musical range experimenting with "weird" riffing and new combination of vocals, while "losing none of the richness that has gained them fans."

Who Is THEM? THEM are back with their second album. Never heard of the band THEM? If Testament and King Diamond had a baby it would be THEM. Vocalist KK Fosser uses a falsetto similar to King Diamond, but its not used as often as King's. ... KK Fosser (Grave digger by trade and Warlock by faith) along with his assistant Remsen, head to the Manor of The Seven Gables located in Salem, Massachusetts to hide from the townspeople after performing a Ritualistic Ceremony on Mary Hawthorne. Word was the manor was governed by a coven of witches. This is where they meet Sarah, a scullery maid as well as a witch. She brings KK and Remsen into the basement until she can figure out how to introduce them to the coven.

Звучание альбома очень "лохматое" из-за многократных наложений, и, как принято сейчас говорить, "атмосферное", колеблясь при этом от абстрактных звуковых зарисовок до musique concrete. Материал же диска представляет собой трудноклассифицируемый коллаж из невротичных баллад (на этот раз полностью электрических) и грязноватых саундскейпов. Точное определение стиля этого альбома - практически невыполнимая задача, и единственной палочкой-выручалочкой в этом случае является емкий термин "Avantgarde". Вокал Хэммилла здесь безупречен, а его манера игры на инструментах - совершенно нетехничная, нарочито примитивная и неаккуратная - как нельзя лучший аккомпанемент для его надрывного голоса.
