In Utero is the third and final studio album by American rock band Nirvana, released on September 13, 1993, by DGC Records. After breaking into the mainstream with their second album, Nevermind (1991), Nirvana hired Steve Albini to record In Utero, seeking a more complex, abrasive sound.
Recording took place over two weeks in February 1993 at Pachyderm Studio in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. Soon after recording was completed, rumors circulated that DGC might not release In Utero due to Albini's abrasive sound. Producer Scott Litt was hired to remix the singles "All Apologies", "Heart-Shaped Box" and "Pennyroyal Tea", upsetting Albini.

This is my favorite Kazu Matsui recording. I have others but this one with Robben Ford is very good. If you are a fan of Robben Ford, you get to hear a different side of him. Great vocalsl from Robben. I have been looking for this album in CD format for years. A must have for Kazu Matsui Project fans and Robben Ford fans.

When Café Blue was released by Premonition Records in 1994, two things happened. A “maverick” jazz artist began a sustained, inventive career and a significant audiophile release put the label on the map. Barber’s father, a musician with Glenn Miller, had instilled a respect for jazz arrangement. After paying her dues on the Chicago music scene, her relentless performance schedule garnered an enthusiastic cult following. It didn’t take long for critics to recognize the quirky stylistic approach to jazz. Relying on original material and a mix of pop standards, Barber created albums of musical vision and poetic flair.

Active primarily in West Coast jazz, Pepper first came to prominence in Stan Kenton's big band. He was known for his emotionally charged performances and several stylistic shifts throughout his career, and was described by critic Scott Yanow as having "attained his goal of becoming the world's greatest altoist" at the time of his death in 1982.
