Новшеств на "Random Is Resistance" хватает, но понравились мне далеко не все из них. Что ж, бывает. Я склоняюсь к мнению, что песням немецкой команды не очень идут грязноватость, прямолинейность, стомповость и бунтарские настроения. (Хотя кому-то это наоборот понравится.) При таком раскладе на второй план уходят или вообще теряются меланхолические нотки в вокале, упрощается мелодика и эмоциональные краски теряют глубину. Благо на альбоме остается немало красивых, проникновенных и мелодичных композиций, которые в основе своей сделаны по старым проверенным рецептам или с неявновыраженной клубной доминатой.

Удивительный альбом польского коллектива... Просто удивительный. После демо 93 года «The Personal Fragment Of Life», представляющего на суд слушателей неплохой и хорошо записанный doom-death, я думаю никто не ожидал, что следующий за ним полноформатник окажется таким шедевральным. Да, этот альбом тогда находился несколько в тени таких монстров, как My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Anathema и может быть поэтому он не получил достаточной известности. Хотя по эмоциональному настроению и общей атмосфере рассматриваемое творение Neolithic'а находится ближе к таким группам, как Katatonia.

Редко случается, когда юбилей какой-нибудь группы не отмечается выпуском сборника лучших композиций... In Extremo в этом плане решили не особо выделяться... Альбом, посвященный десятилетию семерки содержит, однако, кроме старых и полюбившихся песен две новые - "Alte Liebe" и "Kein Sturm halt uns auf". В целом, на альбоме заметно увеличение роли электроники, по отношению к старым работам... На мой субъективный взгляд - это не есть хорошо, хотя сыграно все профессионально, да и запись на высоте.
Второй CD альбома содержит перепевки песен In Extremo от Blind, Gotz Alsmann, Grave Digger, Ougenweide, Randalica, Silbermond... Большинство получившихся вещей эээ...на любителя, так сказать.

Journal for Plague Lovers is the ninth studio album by Welsh alternative rock band Manic Street Preachers, released in May 2009 by record label Columbia. Recorded between October 2008 and February 2009 and produced by Steve Albini and Dave Eringa, it features exclusively posthumous-published lyrics by Richey Edwards, who disappeared on 1 February 1995 and was presumed deceased in 2008. It is the only Manic Street Preachers album in which the lyrics for every song were written solely by Edwards.
The album received a very positive critical reception and debuted at number 3 in the UK Albums Chart.

The song was written in collaboration with Lori Lieberman, who recorded the song in late 1971. In 1973 it became a number-one hit in the US and Canada for Roberta Flack, also reaching number six in the UK Singles Chart. The song has since been covered by numerous artists, including the version by the Fugees, which won the 1997 Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.

Это концептуальная работа, история, разработанная основателем Enigma, продюсером и главным композитором Мишелем Крету в соавторстве с немецким поэтом и либреттистом Михаэлем Кунце о путешествии героя в поисках новой полноценной жизни. Обложка и буклет разработаны немецким художником Вольфгангом Бельтраччи, который создал 12 изображений, сопровождающие каждую из «глав» альбома.
