A Thousand Suns is the fourth studio album by American rock band Linkin Park. It was first released in multiple nations on September 8, 2010, and in the United States on September 13, 2010, by Warner Bros. Records. The album was produced by Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin, who had also worked together to produce the band's previous studio album Minutes to Midnight (2007). Recording sessions for A Thousand Suns took place at NRG Recording Studios in Hollywood, California from 2009 until mid 2010.

Pipes of Peace is the fourth solo studio album by the English singer-songwriter Paul McCartney. It was released on 31 October 1983. As the follow-up to the popular Tug of War, the album came close to matching the commercial success of its predecessor in Britain but peaked only at number 15 on America's Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart. While Pipes of Peace was the source of international hit singles such as "Say Say Say" (recorded with Michael Jackson) and the title track, the critical response to the album was less favourable than that afforded to Tug of War.

Про классический шведский дэт-метал можно говорить много: как хорошего, так и плохого, но отрицать то, что он стал в свое время явлением на мировой тяжелой сцене, не станет никто. Тем отраднее тот факт, что явление это до сих пор не стало частью истории, а вполне себе успешно живет и процветает минимум пятнадцать последних лет. Те, кто когда-то закладывал основы стиля, по-прежнему в строю, и DISMEMBER – далеко не последние из них. Конечно, каждый новый альбом групп из той славной плеяды вольно или невольно рассматривается через призму старых работ, которые неизбежно кажутся более значимыми, более искренними, а в конечном итоге, и более успешными, но это отнюдь не повод проходить мимо новых опусов, тем более, что, как доказывает практика, большинство ветеранов сохранило вполне достойную форму, о чем на “THE GOD THAT NEVER WAS” Матти Кярки и компания заявляют нам с первых секунд открывающей композиции.
