Антология современного американского металла. Песни с приглашёнными вокалистами всё равно как-то напоминают группы, в которых они поют. И Lamb Of God, и Testament, и Mastodon, и в чём-то Pantera. Хорошие риффы: и качает, и скорость присутствует, и тяжесть, и мелодичные моменты, и какая-то прогрессивность местами. Ударные с Портным, конечно, интересные. Может, в чём-то схожи с Adrenaline Mob. Вернулись бласт-биты. Соло Школьника классные: что-то и из старого Testament'a, и из нового. 10 хороших песен чистого, настоящего американского метала. Из всей атмосферы этой несколько простоватой музыки они выбрали лучшее и выдали это. Может, местами вторично, и "мы это уже сотни раз слышали", но классно же и приятно.

Luciferian Light Orchestra - Side-project of Christofer Johnsson of Therion. From the band's website: "Luciferian Light Orchestra is a new band wrapped in a vintage spirit. The band is performing songs that Christofer Johnsson has written over the years but thought were too retro sounding for Therion. Christofer always had a big passion for the 70’s music. Luciferian Light Orchestra sounds like a 70’s version of Therion, mainly inspired by the 70’s occult vibes and themes."

Tulijoutsen is the second full length album (and third release) from still relatively new Finnish death/doom band Kuolemanlaakso. In my opinion this album is better than their debut (the excellent Uljas Uusi Maailma) and very much worth purchasing. The sound and style isn't a huge departure from what the band established for themselves on their debut, but they have definitely grown as song writers. The band have implemented more atmosphere and dynamics into their music and it really takes things up a notch. A good example of this is the track Tuonen tähtivyö, which culminates with keyboards, female vocals and layered clean and extreme vocals. There is a simplicity and catchiness that makes this band memorable, and that is put to excellent use with Me vaellamme yössä. The song was released in an edited form on the band's EP Musta aurinko nousee and now appears in it's full form. The song definitely sticks with you with its groove and melodic lead riff.

Don't Bore Us, Get to the Chorus! Roxette's Greatest Hits is het tweede verzamelalbum van het Zweedse duo Roxette, uitgegeven op 30 oktober 1995 door EMI. Speciaal voor dit album zijn vier nieuwe liedjes geschreven, waarvan er drie zijn uitgebracht op single, namelijk "June Afternoon", "You Don't Understand Me" en "She Doesn't Live Here Anymore". De single "Almost Unreal" is tevens uitgebracht op de soundtrack van Super Mario Bros. en nu dus voor het eerst op een album van Roxette. Co-auteur van "You Don't Understand Me" is Desmond Child, een bekend liedjesschrijver uit de Verenigde Staten. Het nummer was eigenlijk bedoeld voor gebruik door andere artiesten. Per Gessle besloot het lied te behouden en in te laten zingen door Marie Fredriksson, wat een groot succes bleek. De grote hit "It Must Have Been Love" uit 1990 was tot uitgifte van dit album op nog geen enkel ander album van Roxette verschenen. Overigens kwam de originele versie van "It Must Have Been Love (Christmas For The Broken Hearted)" uit 1987 en is in 1997 voor het eerst verschenen op een heruitgave van Pearls of Passion.
