История создания группы MYSTIC CIRCLE, начинается в 1992 году. Отцами основателями коллектива были Graf von Beelzebub и Aaarrrgon. Они делают свои первые демо-записи, следуя традициям старой школы хэви-метал, с уклоном в более экстремальные течения метал музыки. Их первый релиз «Dark Passion», вышедший в 1993 году, показал новые музыкальные пристрастия группы, их композиции начинают приобретать мрачные оттенки дэт-метал.

Пожалуй, такого атмосферного металла делают очень немного. Столь обреченная меланхолия встречается, по-моему, только у Katatonia'2001 да разве что у Opeth "Blackwater Park"; - но здесь больший уклон в сторону фолка и блэка, что лично мне более и нравится, очень красивые вокалы, флейта, звучащая как-то сама по себе, придает некий изыск этому творению, клавишные на высоте, гитары (мне кажется) звучат вообще оригинально, не понимаю, о каком непрофессионализме шла речь - если причина в напрягающем (кого-то) женском вокале - все с ним в порядке - так задумано, советую прослушать альбом еще раз

Появившаяся в период расцвета немецкого хэви-метал, группа "Steeler" из Бохума, стала стартовой площадкой для популярного гитариста Акселя Руди Пелла. В начале 80-х годов Пелл с бас-гитаристом Волкером Кравчаком основал банду, получившую название "Sinner". The Silent Force is the third studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation, released on 15 November 2004, by GUN Records. On 5 August 2008, The Silent Force along with Mother Earth were released in the United States by Roadrunner Records. This album is the first to feature Ruud Jolie on lead guitar, as well as Martijn Spierenburg on keyboards, after Martijn Westerholt had to leave the band due to illness. It is also the first to feature Daniel Gibson as their producer. The album deepened the band symphonic approach, this time featuring more atmospheric songs that resemble the predominant fantasistic lyrics, inspired both by literature and the band members personal lives.

The album features mainly fantasy and nature themes and was a sleeper hit in the band's heartland, entering the Dutch charts at number eighty-two, by the end of 2000, and only managing to reach its peak third position two years later with the second release of the single Ice Queen. The album later reached double platinum status in the Netherlands, platinum in Germany, and gold in Belgium. As of 2011, the album had reportedly sold 800,000 copies.

Bleed Out is the eighth studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation. It was released on 20 October 2023. It is produced by their longtime producer Daniel Gibson, alongside Mathijs Tieken and Within Temptation. The album marks the first time the band opted for releasing a full record without the support of a major record label. Musically, the record incorporates elements from symphonic metal, gothic metal, metalcore, and djent. Lyrically, the band approached themes related to freedom. They addressed subjects such as war, oppression, women's rights, religion, bullying, and inner-struggles.
