Commodores, often billed as The Commodores, are an American funk and soul group. The group's most successful period was in the late 1970s and early 1980s when Lionel Richie was the co-lead singer.
The members of the group met as mostly freshmen at Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University) in 1968, and signed with Motown in November 1972, having first caught the public eye opening for the Jackson 5 while on tour.
The band's biggest hit singles are ballads such as "Easy", "Three Times a Lady", and "Nightshift"; and funk-influenced dance songs, including "Brick House", "Fancy Dancer", "Lady (You Bring Me Up)", and "Too Hot ta Trot".

Unisonic’s first live album is a great release packed with some of the band’s strongest songs and the addition of two Helloween classics. The album has captured the band in great form, delivering a very confident and professional performance in Europe’s largest metal festival.
Unisonic is comprised of Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween, Place Vendome), Kai Hansen (ex-Helloween, Gamma Ray), Mandy Meyer (Gotthard, ex-Krokus), Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Place Vendomee) and Kosta Zafiriou (ex-Pink Cream 69).
The production is strong, clean and retains the live feel and atmosphere successfully. The album sounds heavier compared to the band’s studio work and most tracks pack more energy when compared to the originals. Out of the Unisonic songs the stand outs are the faster power metal anthems “Your Time Has Come” and “For the Kingdom”, the melodic hard rocker “Exceptional” with its addictive chorus and the catchy “My Sanctuary”. As expected the two Helloween classics are the icing on the cake and both are performed flawlessly. “A Little Time” contains a medley of Judas Priest’s Victim of Changes in the middle of the song, with Kiske delivering a chilling performance. “March of Time” is a little more melodic compared to the original but is just as fast and epic.

Титульная песня здесь имеется в двух вариантах, причём сингловая версия не блещет оригинальностью. «Farewell Letter» - немного грустная баллада, впрочем, есть у Crematory образцы и получше. Видеоклип - и вовсе детский сад; на мой взгляд, лучший «крематорский» клип - на песню «The Fallen». Единственное, что может здесь порадовать - это кавер на песню Metallica «One» - великолепная подача в узнаваемом стиле.

«Grimmest Hits» получился супермелодичным метал-альбомом. Закк всегда славился способностью шредить блюзовые соло в своих песнях, и, главное, балладах. На словах это выглядит довольно странно, но включите музыку, и всё сразу встанет на свои места. И, да, альбом звучит именно так, как его представляли поклонники Black Label Society и лично Закка Уайлда. Здесь нет ничего сильно новаторского или вызывающего по сравнению с ранними работами коллектива, но это не мешает группе звучать по-особенному и до отказа забивать голову слушателя цепляющими риффами и техничными, но от этого не менее мелодичными соляками.

Дэт-джаз стало слушать скучновато. Брутал-дэт-джаз – другое дело. Cryptopsy стали для меня настоящим откровением, раздвинувшим рамки оригинальности и различных технических показателей игры с учетом брутальности. Данный альбом состоит из одних плюсов, и все минусы относительны.Единственный полноценный минус «And Then You’ll Beg» – это то, что при тех скоростях, на которых музыканты молотят дэт, альбом просто не может показаться достаточным по продолжительности. Второй полуминус – вокал Майка ДиСальво. На известных музыкальных сайтах только ленивый не высказался о хардкоровых интонациях его вокала, которые не очень подходят к музыке. Это верно лишь отчасти. Для такой стремительной и в полном смысле слова разрушительной музыки требуется что-то гибкое и отражающее импровизационную энергетику группы, а вокал Майка достойно выполняет эту функцию.
