I'm Breathless: Music from and Inspired by the Film Dick Tracy is an album by American singer and songwriter Madonna, released on May 21, 1990, in the UK and on May 22, 1990, in the US by Sire Records to accompany the film Dick Tracy. The album contains three songs written by Stephen Sondheim, which were used in the film, in addition to several songs co-written by Madonna that were inspired by but not included in the film. Madonna starred as Breathless Mahoney alongside her then-boyfriend Warren Beatty who played the title role, Dick Tracy. After filming was complete, Madonna began work on the album with Sondheim, producer Patrick Leonard and engineer Bill Bottrell. She also worked with producer Shep Pettibone on the album's first single, "Vogue". The album was recorded in three weeks, at Johnny Yuma Recording and Ocean Way Studios, in Los Angeles, California.

"Frozen" is a song by American singer and songwriter Madonna from her seventh studio album, Ray of Light (1998). Maverick and Warner Bros. Records released it as the album's lead single on January 23, 1998. "Frozen" was written by Madonna and Patrick Leonard, who both produced it in collaboration with William Orbit. The downtempo electronica and pop ballad, which has a layered sound enhanced by synthesizers and strings, lyrically addresses a cold and emotionless man.

Musically, the record is structured like a DJ's set. The songs are sequenced and blended so that they are played continuously without any gaps. The title arrived from the fact that the album tracklisting consists of light-hearted and happy songs in the beginning, and progresses to much darker melodies and lyrics describing personal feelings and commitments. Songs on the album sample and reference the music of other dance-oriented artists like ABBA, Donna Summer, Pet Shop Boys, the Bee Gees and Depeche Mode, as well as Madonna's 1980s output.

American Life initially received mixed reviews upon release; critics found the album confusing and "about Madonna". Critics also found it "difficult to listen to" due to its awkward and brash production in some songs. However, retrospective reviews of the album have been much more positive, particularly noting its lyrical depth. American Life reached number one in 14 countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States, and also charted within the top-five of most markets. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) both certified the album Platinum in recognition of one million shipments in the United States, and 300,000 shipments in the United Kingdom, respectively. It became the 32nd best-selling album of 2003 and has sold five million copies worldwide. American Life garnered two nominations at the 46th Grammy Awards in 2004.

Sodom’s “Sacred Warpath” EP comes a year and some change after Tom Angelripper and company pulverized a fair number of balls on the long-running faction’s fourteenth full-length album called “Epitome of Torture.” The mini-release features a studio track, “Sacred Warpath,” with three live cuts recorded in Germany in 2014. Safe to say Sodom’s style has latched on to a more complicated brand of songwriting based on the title track’s six-minute running time. It fits the bill to hold congress with other burners like “City of God” or “Stigmatized” (two songs that appear on this EP in a live setting, coincidentally) without jeopardizing the consistency of Sodom’s ability to still sound fresh while many of the band’s cohorts have expired creatively or resorted to phoning it in.
