Machine Head is the sixth studio album by English rock band Deep Purple. It was recorded in December 1971 in Montreux, Switzerland, and released on 30 March 1972, by Purple Records. It is the band's third album to feature the Mark II line-up of Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord, and Ian Paice.

Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington (April 29, 1899 – May 24, 1974) was an American composer, pianist and bandleader of jazz orchestras. His career spanned over 50 years, leading his orchestra from 1923 until he died.
He is widely regarded as the most important jazz composer and bandleader, with some admirers even seeing him as America's greatest composer in any musical field, with a vast library of compositions, from pop songs to extended works. The sidemen in his band included many leading jazz soloists, and he influnced many younger performers, from Miles Davis and Charles Mingus to Stevie Wonder and Steely Dan.

He hailed from a middle-class family in Washington, DC, and learned piano both from lessons and from imitating the ragtime pianists in the community. After attaining modest success in DC as a pianist and jazz band leader, Duke sought the big time by taking his band to New York City, the center of the music world and the most glamorous scene of The Roaring Twenties. He first played in the Kentucky Club, then the Cotton Club, honing his songwriting chops and gathering more musicians around him until he was no longer leading a band but an orchestra. During the 1930s and 1940s, as big-band swing grew in popularity throughout the US and the world, Duke's jazz orchestra became renowned as one of the best.

De-Phazz is a German downtempo and jazz ensemble founded in 1997, whose music integrates modern turntablism and elements of Latin, soul, trip hop and drum and bass into a lounge music sound. De-Phazz is led by Pit Baumgartner, a German producer who has varied the lineup of band members for every new album.

Год записи и участие в создании альбома двух Харрисов (Mick Harris и Mitch Harris) наталкивают на совершенно определённые размышления. Собственно, это оно и есть - то, о чём вы подумали. Размеренно-вязкий старошкольный death/grind начинает практически сразу елозить по ушам. Другого ожидать не приходится, но это и не нужно в контексте данного релиза. Можно, конечно, провести параллель с "Harmony Corruption", и это будет кстати, но мне хочется указать на определённые связки с австрийцами Pungent Stench. С творчеством европейцев материал альбома роднит дёрганная ритмическая основа, проявлений коей было не так много на ровном релизе "Напалмов". Сравнивать же сию запись с ранними творениями англичан не совсем правильно. В общем, схематика сюжетной линии типична - массивные проутюженные риффы разгоняются и утопают в накрывающей их волне грайндовой экспрессии.

Restless Heart is the ninth studio album by English hard rock band Whitesnake, released by EMI on 26 March 1997 in Japan and 26 May in Europe. It was produced by the band's vocalist David Coverdale and originally conceived as a solo album. However, EMI pressured him into releasing the record under the moniker "David Coverdale & Whitesnake". Musically Restless Heart features a more subdued sound compared to Whitesnake's previous two albums. It is also the only full-length Whitesnake studio album to feature guitarist Adrian Vandenberg throughout, despite having been a member of the group since 1987.

Work on In Rock began shortly after Gillan and Glover joined the band in June 1969, with rehearsals at Hanwell Community Centre. The music was intended to be loud and heavy, and accurately represent the group's live show. Recording took place at various studios around London in between extensive touring, during which time songs and arrangements were honed into shape.

В общем на этом альбоме Dead Can Dance окончательно сформировали свой неповторимый стиль, теперь их можно было сравнивать только с самими собой. По сравнению с прошлой работой звук стал менее помпезным и тяжеловесным, конструкции песен стали более легкими, появилось больше воздуха и экзотики. Сменился инструментарий. Но проблема в том что все это не складывается в единый альбом. Два лучших трека («The Host of Seraphim» и «Severance») перетягивают на себя все остальное.

Уже на новом месте Харрис и Харрис поработали над созданием второго диска "Defecation" с предварительным названием "Intention surpassed". Однако эти двенадцать треков брутального шума, планировавшиеся к выходу на "Nuclear blast", так и не вышли в свет. Музыканты попытались перебраться под крыло "Earache", но тут возникли проблемы юридического плана, поскольку эта компания не хотела брать к себе группы, связанные контрактами с другими лейблами. В результате "Defecation" остались как бы не у дел. Тут Мик запаниковал, испугавшись возникших трудностей, и покинул и без того немногочисленный проект.
