The Point! is the sixth studio album by American songwriter and musician Harry Nilsson, released in late 1970. It was accompanied by an animated film adaptation directed by Fred Wolf, which aired in early February 1971 on the ABC-TV network. Its lead single, "Me and My Arrow", peaked at number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The Point! is a fable that tells the story of a boy named Oblio, the only round-headed person in the Pointed Village, where by law everyone and everything must have a point. Nilsson explained his inspiration for The Point!:

"I was on acid and I looked at the trees and I realized that they all came to points, and the little branches came to points, and the houses [each] came to [a] point. I thought, 'Oh! Everything has a point, and if it doesn't, then there's [still] a point to it.'"

Harry is the fourth studio album by Harry Nilsson, released August 1969 on RCA. It was his first album to get onto Billboard Magazine's Billboard 200 chart, remaining there for 15 weeks and reaching #120.

Harry features jazz saxophonist Tom Scott, pianist Mike Melvoin, flutist Jim Horn, session drummer Jim Gordon, Larry Knechtel on bass, and David Cohen and Howard Roberts on guitars.

The album does not have a distinctive style but ranges over ballads, show tunes, nostalgic Americana, and tin pan alley-like soft shoe numbers.

Nilsson Sings Newman is the fifth album by American singer-songwriter Harry Nilsson, released in February 1970 on RCA Victor. It features songs written by Randy Newman. Recorded over six weeks in late 1969, the album showcases Nilsson's voice multi-tracked in layers of tone and harmony. Its arrangements are otherwise sparse, with most of the instrumentation provided by Newman on piano. The record was not a great commercial success, but won a 1970 "Record of the Year" award from Stereo Review magazine. The LP record cover art was illustrated by Dean Torrence.

The album title was inspired by the bad press Nilsson and Lennon were getting at the time for being drunk and rowdy in Los Angeles. They also included an inside joke on the cover – children's letter blocks "D" and "S" on either side of a rug under a table − to spell out "drugs under the table" as a rebus.

Он так же вышел в ДВД формате. До этого можно было услышать только какие-то невразумительные бутлеги плохого качества и содержимое синглов с подборкой «ливов». Ну, вот уже и эти бойцы хэви металла сподобились на выпуск своего первого в истории зальника. Зная, что Падающие Молотки лажы не делают, можно сразу же предположить, что и эта вещь будет предельно качественного вида. Так оно и есть!

Не скажу, что он плох, но есть в нем что-то, что наводит на мысль о том, что все это уже неоднократно было. Тот же стандартный набор клише (ими же и созданный) и ритмов, тот же вокал от скриминга до гроула, те же риффы, но, правда, в несколько другом порядке. Средненький такой альбом. Слышны мелодии а-ля In Flames, частично полудумовые композиции и чистый дет в стиле "лицемеров". Фирменная атмосфера Hypocrisy, как всегда, наличествует и парит надо всем.

Diva является одной из лучших работ в стиле doom-death. Работа эта имеет много общего с парадайсовским Gothic, только Heavenwood не используют женский вокал. На альбоме присутствует чистый вокал, но он играет эпизодическую роль, балом правит гроул. Качество записи хорошее, что не особенно характерно для начинающих групп. О музыке : как было выше сказано, Heavenwood похожи на ранних парадайсов, но у них больше места отведено клавишам. Также не могу не отметить великолепную работу лидер-гитариста(в рамках жанра), большинство мелодий запоминается с первого раза и потом их очень сложно выкинуть из головы.

...похоже на смесь мелодий из саундтрэков к боевым сценам в фильмах/играх и блэка. Выделять что-то конкретное бесполезно, так как творчество L.O.N. довольно однотипно (по подходу, а не мелодиям), и, подозреваю, что если кому-то не понравится один альбом, то и у остальных релизов остаётся немного шансов...

Несмотря на то, что HELHEIM записали свою, пожалуй, самую интересную работу, она снова не получила должного признания. Судьбе плевать? К чёрту, судьба ни при чём. "Heiðindómr ok Mótgangr" ХОЛОДЕН и неприветлив, и явно не входит в число альбомов, готовых раскрыться с первых же встреч – нет, он потребует вдумчивого, многократного и порой неуютного прослушивания. Шторм лют, и не каждый приблизится к нему. Стылая вода обжигает, и не всякий, погрузившийся в неё, сумеет всплыть не окоченевшей тушкой. Но сквозь шторм этого альбома стоит прорываться, стоит пытаться, преодолевая запредельный холод, достичь дна – и удовольствие того, кто в конечном счёте не будет отринут, будет безграничным.
