The John Lennon Signature Box is an 11-disc boxed set of remastered John Lennon albums and new collections, released on CD and digital format, as part of the "Gimme Some Truth" collection. The albums released in the boxed set are digital remasters of the original recordings and mixes, done by John's widow Yoko Ono and the same team of engineers at Abbey Road Studios who worked on the 2009 remasters by the Beatles, in London and Avatar Studios, New York. The set also includes home demos and non-album singles. The boxed set was released on vinyl in June 2015 by Universal Music Catalogue without the two additional discs.

Shaved Fish is a compilation album by John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band, issued in October 1975 on Apple Records. It contains all of the singles that he had issued up to that point in the United States as a solo artist, with the exception of "Stand by Me", which had been released earlier that year. The only compilation of Lennon's non-Beatles recordings released during his lifetime, the album peaked at number 8 in the UK and number 12 in the US. It was also Lennon's final album released on Apple Records.

Rock 'n' Roll is the fifth and final solo studio album by the English musician John Lennon. Released in February 1975, it is an album of rock and roll songs from the late 1950s and early 1960s as covered by Lennon. Recording the album was troubled and spanned an entire year: Phil Spector produced sessions in October 1973 at A&M Studios, and Lennon produced sessions in October 1974 at the Record Plant (East). Lennon was being sued by Morris Levy over copyright infringement of one line in his Beatles song "Come Together". As part of an agreement, Lennon had to include three Levy-owned songs on Rock 'n' Roll. Spector disappeared with the session recordings and was subsequently involved in a motor accident, leaving the album's tracks unrecoverable until the beginning of the Walls and Bridges sessions. With Walls and Bridges coming out first, featuring one Levy-owned song, Levy sued Lennon expecting to see Lennon's Rock 'n' Roll album.

Milk and Honey is the sixth and final collaborative album by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, released in January 1984, three years after Lennon’s murder. It is Lennon's eighth and final album overall, and the first posthumous release of new Lennon music, having been recorded in the last months of his life during and following the sessions for his 1980 album Double Fantasy. It was assembled by Yoko Ono in association with the Geffen label.

Double Fantasy is the fifth collaborative studio album by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and the final one before Lennon's death. Released in November 1980 on Geffen Records, the album marked Lennon's return to recording music full-time, following his five-year hiatus to raise his son Sean. Recording sessions took place at the Hit Factory in New York City between August and October 1980. The final album features songs from both Lennon and Ono, largely alternating between the two in its track listing. Walls and Bridges is the fourth solo studio album by the English musician John Lennon. It was issued by Apple Records on 26 September 1974 in the United States and on 4 October in the United Kingdom. Written, recorded and released during his 18-month separation from Yoko Ono, the album captured Lennon in the midst of his "Lost Weekend". Walls and Bridges was an American number-one album on both the Billboard and Record World charts and included two hit singles, "Whatever Gets You thru the Night" and "#9 Dream". The first of these was Lennon's first number-one hit in the United States as a solo artist, and his only solo chart-topping single in either the US or Britain during his lifetime.

A double album, it includes backing by the American rock band Elephant's Memory. The album's agitprop lyrics are politically charged compared to its predecessors, addressing political and social issues and topics such as sexism, incarceration, colonialism, and racism.

John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band is the debut solo studio album by English musician John Lennon. Backed by the Plastic Ono Band (consisting of Lennon on guitar, Ringo Starr on drums, and Klaus Voormann on bass), it was released by Apple Records on 11 December 1970 in tandem with the similarly titled album by his wife, Yoko Ono. At the time of its issue, John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band received mixed reviews overall, but later came to be widely regarded as one of Lennon's best solo albums.

По моему скромному мнению, тут Джо вновь переплюнул сам себя и в третий раз после "Экстремиста" и чудного "Flying in a Blue Dream" покорил некие заоблачные вершины инструментальной гитарной музыки. Причем, каждый раз Мастер не повторял уже пройденный путь, а стремился взобраться на эту вершину с новой стороны. И самое главное - он никогда не боится экспериментов. Конечно, среднестатистическому любителю рока наверняка безразличен, скажем, тот факт, что инструментал "Mind Storm" стал первым, что Сатриани записал при помощи семиструнной гитары, но на самом деле по техническому решению этот трек просто кардинальнейше отличается от былого подхода героя рецензии к созданию музыки.

Если на предыдущих альбомах Сатриани нет-нет, да включал одну, две блюзовых вещей, то этот альбом он решил целиком посвятить данному стилю музыки. Больше всего удивило (и восхитило одновременно), что Сатриани сумел внести свой собственный, ни с кем не схожий почерк игры. Слушая вещи с альбома с первого раза, можно сказать: «Оооо..., это играет Джо».
Замечу, что Сатриани не посвятил альбом одному конкретному направлению блюза, а постарался включить все наиболее популярные направления в стиле, продемонстрировав весь спектр своего таланта.

Весьма неоднозначный альбом. Даже после пары прослушиваний, мне было не понятно, что сие есть такое. Какой-то разрозненный и по стилистике, и по качеству материал. После крепко сбитого, шедеврального «Strange Beautiful Music» (2002), этот диск создает ощущение не целостности и упорядоченности, а какой-то анархии. Возможно, это связано с двумя песнями - “Lifestyle” и “I Like The Rain”. Первая еще слушается прилично, ну а вторая просто ужасна. Хорошо, что их всего две. Инструментальные композиции на альбоме звучат более привычно и узнаваемо. Каких-то эксклюзивов в плане аранжировок и подачи музыкального материала я не обнаружил. Привычный, до боли знакомый маэстро Сатриани со своей весенней атмосферой и узнаваемым ибанезовским звуком.
