Sony Music Masterworks announces the release of Got Soul, the label debut of Robert Randolph & the Family Band. Often called the “Jimi Hendrix of the pedal steel guitar,” and named one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time by Rolling Stone’s David Fricke, Randolph has, since the turn of the century, revolutionized the role of his chosen instrument. One listen to Got Soul—the fifth studio album overall by this virtuosic player and the genre-busting Family Band and first since 2013—reaffirms that they have truly evolved into one of the most exciting, innovative outfits in contemporary music.

The package brings together a really hip assortment of Roy Ayers’ best work for Polydor in the 70s – really incredible tracks that merge together jazz, soul, and funk at a level that nobody else can touch – not just the sum of the parts, but a sublime fusion that’s completely Ayers-like, and which has gone onto inspire countless other folks over the years – even though nobody else can ever do it this well!

Roberto Iarussi is a classically trained singer whose extraordinary vocal talent, and musical sensibilities enable him to perform across a wide variety of musical genres. Though recognized as an Opera Singer, the second generation Italo American found his inspiration from great singers of many different musical styles, most notably Barbra Streisand, to whom Iarussi dedicates his recently completed milestone recording, entitled "I Believe" which was recorded with London Symphony Orchestra.
