Vapor Trails is the seventeenth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush. It was released on May 14, 2002 on Anthem Records, and it is their first studio release since Test for Echo (1996), the longest gap between two Rush albums. After touring finished in July 1997, the group entered an extended hiatus following personal tragedies that happened to drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. They reunited in January 2001 to rehearse material for a new album, recording for which lasted until November. For the first time since Caress of Steel (1975), the group did not incorporate a keyboard into their music.

Test for Echo is the sixteenth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released on September 10, 1996 on Anthem Records. It marks the final Rush work prior to the tragic events in Neil Peart's life that put the band on hiatus for several years, as well as the final Rush album to be co-produced by Peter Collins.
The title track reached No. 1 on the mainstream rock chart. The song "Driven" became a bass showcase for Geddy Lee during live performances, while "Resist" was rearranged as an acoustic song on the Vapor Trails and R30 tours. Since then, the band has not performed any tracks from the album in concert. It was remastered and reissued twice: in 2004 as a continuation of "The Rush Remasters" set and in 2013 as a part of the box set The Studio Albums 1989–2007.

Back in 1980, during their Permanent Waves tour, Rush played three consecutive nights at the Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis, Missouri from February 11th through the 13th. A fairly well-known bootleg from a live radio broadcast recording of one of those three performances has been around for quite some time.

Clockwork Angels is the nineteenth and final studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released on June 8, 2012 on Anthem Records. During their year-and-a-half break following their Snakes & Arrows Tour, the group decided to write a new studio album. The album was recorded in April 2010 at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, Tennessee and from October to December 2011 at Revolution Recording in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
