This is a very entertaining CD of Rossini operatic overtures. A number of these overtures are performed fairly often on concert stage and one of them, the famous William Tell overture, has actually become part of popular culture. The distinguishing feature of this CD is the effort to produce nonanachronistic versions of the music. These performances use scores either derived from Rossini's original autograph manuscripts or reconstructed by scholars from early performance versions of these works. Scores used commonly in the recent past are thought to have a lot of 19th century accretions different from Rossini's original orchestration. The London Classical Players use period instruments and aim for a performance style typical of the early 19th century.

Watt is the fifth album by the English blues rock band Ten Years After, released in 1970. It was recorded in September 1970 except for the last track, a cover of Chuck Berry's "Sweet Little Sixteen", which is a recording from the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival.

Undead is a live album by Ten Years After, recorded live at the small jazz club, Klooks Kleek, in London, May 1968, and released in August of that year. The show combined blues, boogie and jazz playing that merged more traditional rock and roll with 1950's-style jump blues. The album "amply illustrates" Alvin Lee's "eclectic" use of the pentatonic scale mixed with other modalities.

Last of Our Kind is the fourth studio album by British hard rock band The Darkness. Chicago-based To Destroy A City was formed after Andrew Welch (drums/synths/programming), Jeff Anderson (guitar/keyboards), and Michael Marshall (guitar) met through various iterations of previous musical projects. When the three finally sat down together in the summer of 2010, they moved quickly, writing and recording their debut within a year's time. The self-titled album was released by n5MD in September 2011.
