Face Dances is the ninth studio album by English rock band The Who. It was released in 1981 on Warner Bros. Records in the United States (it was the band's first release on that label) and on Polydor Records in the United Kingdom. It was one of two Who studio albums with drummer Kenney Jones, who had replaced Keith Moon after his death three years earlier.

Arrival - the third full-length from this Icelandic trio implies a maturity worthy of any band that has been on the road for some decades and enjoyed their share of smoked-filled seedy backstage rooms reeking of stale beer. A relaxed rocker like ‘Winter Queen’, with its perfectly-timed build-up and meticulous solos speaks of a long-experienced songwriter worth his salt. The blues-soaked ‘Monolith’ is as cleverly assembled as the percussion-driven heavyweight ‘Last Day Of Light’ or the shapeshifting semi-ballad, half-groove monster ‘Eclipsed’, or the whirling psychedelic trip offered by ‘Babylon’.

Mutilator Defeated at Last is Thee Oh Sees' first post-hiatus LP to be recorded using the band’s re-staffed touring lineup. It sounds different from the old version of the band, but not that different. In the past, Oh Sees records were made more or less live, the band bashing out the songs in single takes with no or minimal overdubs. Since reformatting the group, Dwyer has become a bit more interested in the studio. As with Drop, this extra polish and attention benefits Mutilator. There are tasteful psychedelic embellishments—synth wooshes, delay trails—and new instrumentation, like electric organ and acoustic guitar. The fuzz and grime have been peeled back a little, leaving room for more density and detail.

Talon’s new single “Holly Would” is illustrated with a sexually charged music video that shows a couple of ladies gyrating suggestively in various stages of undress. While watching it, you can’t escape the impression that what’s been learned from Tawny Kitaen back in the day, hasn’t been lost throughout the decades – it’s the same eye candy factor that is utilized here (sans two Jaguars and feather-haired incarnation of David Coverdale). But more important is the fact that the single foreruns Talon’s comeback with what is their fourth album and a follow-up to critically acclaimed III. Released via Escape Music, it’s entitled Fourplay and features guest appearances by guitarists Tim Pierce (Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Alice Cooper, Elton John etc.) and Pete Fry (FarCry, Rockarma).

Jailbreak is the sixth studio album by Irish hard rock band Thin Lizzy, released in 1976. It proved to be the band's commercial breakthrough in the US. The singles include "Jailbreak" and "The Boys Are Back in Town", the latter being Thin Lizzy's biggest hit.

Ten Years After is the debut album by the English rock/blues band Ten Years After. It features "Spoonful", a cover that the British blues rock group Cream also covered. The album is also low on original material in comparison to the band's later works which were, in most cases, entirely composed of Alvin Lee's songs.

One of These Nights is the fourth studio album by the Eagles, released in 1975. The record's title song became the group's second #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100, in July of that year.
