New album ‘Restriction’ was produced by longtime collaborator Jerome Devoise and Archive, and will be released worldwide on the band's own Dangervisit label via [PIAS] on 12th January 2015. Speaking about the new album Archive co-founder Darius Keeler says: “We set out to make an album with 12 individual and distinct songs, all coming from a similar place but at the same time musically diverse and unique. One of the things I love about Archive is the way we’ve been able to change and evolve with each record and take our fans on a journey. ‘Restriction’ is the next leg of the journey and I can’t wait to share it with the people who matter most.”

Although some highlights from Alice Cooper‘s performance at last year’s Wacken Open Air festival were featured in the “Live at Wacken 2013″ DVD released earlier this year, UDR Records are beginning to release artists whole sets in special CD/DVD packages and Alice Cooper is the first in what will hopefully be a long line of releases to come.

The Season of Mist debut from Vancouver metal act Anciients, titled Heart of Oak, is one that is going to get a lot of people talking. Yes, it's extreme metal, and it's certainly progressive, but then again Heart of Oak is so much more, as the band also incorporate plenty of classic metal influences as well. With the mighty Opeth seemingly moving forward into proggier territory, the metal world has been waiting for another band to set the progressive extreme metal world on fire, and Anciients just might be that band.
