"Alone" is a song by the Bee Gees. It is the opening track on the multi-platinum Still Waters album released by the Bee Gees in 1997, and the first single from the album. The song is a pop ballad written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb recorded in 1996. The track was a big hit worldwide, peaking at #5 in the UK and dominating the charts in Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia at #1. In the U.S. the single peaked at #28, making it their final top 40 hit in that country, after being a Billboard "Hot Shot" debut at #34.

In Stereo is the first studio album by hip hop group Bomfunk MC's, released on 16 November 1999 through Sony Music Finland/Epidrome. The album's second single, "Freestyler", became a chart-topping hit worldwide during the first half of 2000, reaching #1 in eleven countries. In the group's native Finland, the album resulted in Emma awards for best new band, best debut album, best song ("Freestyler") and best producer (JS16). In Stereo is the 26th best-selling album of all time in Finland.

Given his versatility -- skipping from opera to art song, and even Broadway show tunes with an enviable ease -- Bryn Terfel is the perfect candidate to pull off what so many operatic stars try without success: a musically satisfying crossover album. Unfortunately, this isn't it. The opening "Toréador" from Carmen is over-sung and lacks style; the folk songs, like "Danny Boy" and "Shenandoah," and even the Welsh "Bugeilo'r Gwenith Gwyn" are shapeless and bombastic; and in general, these favorites are sorely missing the expressive imagination, soul, and vocal charisma that made Terfel such a star.
