Dawn of Iron Blades is the most aggressive album of Graveland’s viking metal period. While there is still a fair share of melodic passages, there is way more attacking passages than usual.

Данный альбом является дальнейшим развитием направления, заложенного на Carpathian Wolves и получившего продолжение на Thousand Swords - громовые раскаты варварских барабанов сочетаются с лязгающими звуками странных полуфольклорных гитарных мелодий. Звуки клавиш - словно песнь ледяных ветров в кронах деревьев. Каркающий скрипучий вокал - как голос ворона, предвкушающего скорый пир... "Врагам моего народа придется умереть. Их кровь прольется на мою землю... И боги примут эту жертву. Время битвы приближается. Время когда придется пролить свою кровь в сражении. И когда этот день наступит, как в прошлом, огненные колесницы пройдут по земле, неся смерть и разрушение...

Считаю что это культовый альбом могилокопателей, сказать, что он самый лучший не могу, так как все последующие диски на таком же высочайшем звёздном уровне, но на то время он был лучшим и остаётся очень важным и сейчас в 2005 году. На припевах, которые стали очень сильными и красивыми (впервые за всё время!) отметился Ханси Кюрш (Blind Guardian). Это также первый концептуальный альбом могильщиков, повествующий о истории шотландцев, должен заметить, что тексты играют очень важную роль, создавая очень чёткую эмоциональную атмосферу, не зря же всех участников группы приняли в один из древних кланов за правдивую и умную лирику

Уход от традиционного ребята начинают с первого же трека дебютного альбома. "Terra Incognita" - это сплав технодэта и прогрессива, равномерно разбавленный мелодичностью. Гитарные атаки плюс тексты на острые социальные темы, будоражащие умы поколения. Чистый, очень приятный вокал, сменяющийся гроулом, и наоборот. Ни мгновения передышки, слушается на одном дыхании.

Girls Aloud worked with a variety of musicians and producers on Sound of the Underground, which was largely inspired by 1980s music.
