“City of Broken Dreams” is the ECM leader debut of the prodigiously gifted Italian pianist Giovanni Guidi. Much of the considerable charm of City of Broken Dreams is evidenced by the mastery of musical suggestion this trio commands. They make use of many different forms of music in their approach to jazz, if merely to use their colors, dynamics, and intonations to create something other. This a piano trio album that has plenty and gracefully relies on subtlety to express it.

Gloria Estefan's first U.S. Spanish-language album, Mi Tierra is one of her most satisfying, and a step above her English-language pop albums. Her voice is extremely well suited for the material, and the result is a breezy, sunny album with moments of melancholy and longing - in short, one of her most consistent albums to date. Additionally, some of the best-known and most well-respected Latin musicians were employed to further embellish the album.

The Giovanni Guidi Trio plays jazz of uncommon originality and reflective depth. On their second ECM album, they continue the work begun on the recording 'City of Broken Dreams', with pensive, abstract ballads which shimmer with inner tension. Each of the players - Italian pianist Giovanni Guidi, US bassist Thomas Morgan, and Portuguese drummer João Lobo - has a strong sense for the dialectics of sound and silence. The repertoire is mostly from Guidi's pen, but also includes the standard 'I'm Through with Love', Cuban songwriter Osvaldo Farrés' 'Quizás, quizás, quizás' (familiar to jazz listeners through, above all, Nat King Cole's version), and 'Baiiia' by João Lobo.

George Benson - is a ten-time Grammy Award-winning American musician, guitarist and singer-songwriter. He began his professional career at twenty-one, as a jazz guitarist. Benson uses a rest-stroke picking technique similar to that of gypsy jazz players such as Django Reinhardt.

Ghost Culture is the debut studio album released by electronic musician James Greenwood under the name Ghost Culture. It was released on 12 January 2015 through Phantasy Sound, distributed through Because Music. Upon release it reached No. 20 in the Independent Album Breakers chart. It was released to largely favourable reviews. The album was selected as Rough trade record of the month in January 2015.

Grand Tour is a progressive rock project from Scotland which features Hew Montgomery (formerly keyboard player with Glasgow’s Abel Ganz), current Comedy Of Errors men Joe Cairney on vocals and Bruce Levick on drums, and former Errors guitarist Mark Spalding. Hew also plays bass on the project’s first album, "Heavy on the Beach" which was released on February 2nd 2015.

Not to be confused with the well-intentioned but still incomplete career retrospective of the late '90s, this international release focused exclusively on the three albums (two studio and one live) issued during the period stated in its title. At the time, Genesis' three-man lineup was finally coming into their own as a viable commercial entity, having survived the seemingly insurmountable challenge of losing guitarist Steve Hackett and especially singer Peter Gabriel.

Johann Nepomuk Hummel studied with Mozart, later taking lessons from Salieri, and worked closely with Haydn at the court in Esterházy. This exalted pedigree equipped him well for the life of a virtuoso keyboard player and composer, and he became admired as a distinguished writer of church and theatre music in particular. But he did not neglect chamber music, composing a series of Piano Trios that reveal his sure command of the idiom. These entertaining works reflect the musical current of the time – with variations, a fashionable and delectable Rondo alla turca, snappy rhythms, and warmly lyrical melodies.

In January 2015, fans will finally be able to get their ears on a very special release - the long-­awaited SCO-­MULE album. In late September of 1999, John Scofield teamed with Gov’t Mule, then featuring original bass player, the late Allen Woody, along with keyboardist Dr. Dan Matrazzo, in Georgia for two legendary shows. Both shows were recorded, and included the Mule’s first-­ever all-instrumental sets. The band had begun preparing the music for eventual release while working on their third studio album, Life Before Insanity. However, less than a year later, their beloved bassist Allen Woody passed away, setting the Mule on a different path. The idea of releasing SCO-­MULE came up over the years, but the timing was never as right as it is now – helping to mark Gov’t Mule’s 20th Anniversary.

Grimrik is a single German composer also known for having released a cult dungeon synth album in the ’90s under the name Nazgûl, Ash nazg durbatulûk… He also plays drums for Arath, who play more conventional black metal but also happen to release a good amount of dungeon synth material themselves. Grimrik is no newcomer to these genres, and his experience encompasses Eisreich. It must be said, Eisreich is more of a minimalist and ambient take on dungeon synth, avoiding the deliberately tacky, video­-game­-esque tones of many acts. This may be what sets Eisreich apart from the pack: masterful sound choices, clever build­ups, and an overwhelming coldness.
