После успеха альбома Cendres de Lune и хитов «Sans contrefaçon» и «Ainsi soit je…» у Фармер не возникло проблем с выпуском второго альбома, который был хорошо принят публикой, что позволило ей укрепить растущую популярность, таким образом предотвращая её от провала и ухода со сцены. Эти парни из Португалии радуют нас иногда интересными, а иногда очень интересными релизами. "Memorial" я отнёс бы в раздел "очень интересные альбомы", но у него, к сожалению есть несколько минусов - приблэкованное звучание (очень долго сомневался, плюс это или минус), чего не было на предыдущих релизах и песня "Once it was Ours!". Но плюсы альбома легко загораживают его минусы. Плюсы "Memorial" - вокал Фернандо Рибейра (сочный, мощный, чёткий гроулинг - "на зависть" многим дэтстерам, чистый вокал, хорошо проявляющий себя на "Luna" и шёпот, самый обыкновенный шёпот), также красивый вокал Бриджит Захер. Что касается инструментальной части, то слушателю были предложены весьма интересные композиции "In Memoriam", "Sons of Earth" и другие. Приятно было услышать запоминающиеся мелодии. Лично мне больше всего нравятся "Finisterra", "Memento Mori" и "Sanguine".

Следующим релизом стал DVD "Alive", куда вошли записи выступлений коллектива в 2008-2009 годов во время турне по США, Канаде и Японии. Традиционно, в релиз был включён и аудио-диск. Тем временем работа над новым творением продолжалась.

Прослушав данный опус к пятой-шестой песне начинаешь понимать - наконец-то я услышал то, что хотел. Гитарные риффы и соло, мощный бас, чёткие ударные. К седьмому треку создаётся ощущение, что ты попал в радиопостановку о дебрях тевтонских зарослей с местными героями, артефактами и симфоническим оркестром. Десятый по счёту трек, как ни странно, является неплохой песней. Прослушав диск до конца, встречаются ещё такие чередования (сказка-песня). И, наконец, прослушав последнюю вещь про смерть за металл понимаешь, что ничего нового, изобретательного и прогрессивного группа не придумала. Но, может это и к лучшему? Не споря о вкусах, ваш покорный слуга, приверженец классического Heavy Metal, остался довольным качеством, формой и содержанием всех 5-6 ПЕСЕН. Остальные треки - отличный материал для постановки спекталей исторического характера!

Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death) is the fourth studio album by American rock band Marilyn Manson. It was released on November 11, 2000, by Nothing and Interscope Records. Antichrist Superstar is the second studio album by American rock band Marilyn Manson. It was released on October 8, 1996, by Nothing and Interscope Records. It was recorded at Nothing Studios in New Orleans and produced by the band's eponymous vocalist along with Sean Beavan, former Skinny Puppy producer Dave Ogilvie and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. Point de Suture is the seventh studio album by French singer-songwriter Mylène Farmer, and her 14th album overall. Preceded by the lead single "Dégénération", it was released digitally on 20 August 2008, then on CD five days later. The album is predominantly electronic dance music and, despite mixed reviews, it achieved commercial success on the French, Swiss, Belgian and Russian album charts.
