Written and produced by Martin Gore, work began on ‘MG’ following the final dates of Depeche Mode’s ‘Delta Machine’ tour in March 2013 at Gore’s home studio in Santa Barbara. An entire instrumental album had been in his thoughts for some time, particularly since he has been writing instrumentals for Depeche Mode since 1981.

A Mike Oldfield box set of the Warner era will be issued in October this year.
The Studio Albums 1992-2003 gathers together the eight albums released on the label, starting with 1992′s follow-up to the seminal Tubular Bells and ending again with that same album but this time the 2003 re-recording. In between are two further TB-related albums – Tubular Bells III (1998) and The Millennium Bell (1999).
The other four albums are 1994′s The Songs Of Distant Earth, Voyager from 1996, Guitars (1999) and Tr3s Lunas which was issued in 2002.

Kill to Get Crimson is the fifth solo album by British singer-songwriter and guitarist Mark Knopfler, released on 17 September 2007 by Mercury Records internationally, and by Warner Bros. Records in the United States. The album's title comes from a line in the song "Let It All Go". The album cover image is taken from the painting Four Lambrettas and Three Portraits of Janet Churchman by John Bratby, painted in 1958. The first singles from the album were "True Love Will Never Fade" in Europe, and "Punish The Monkey" in North America.
