Bleach —en español: «Lejía» o «Blanqueador»— es el álbum debut de la banda de grunge estadounidense Nirvana, lanzado en junio de 1989 a través del sello discográfico independiente Sub Pop. La mayor parte de las sesiones de grabación tuvieron lugar en el estudio Reciprocal Recording de Seattle, Washington entre diciembre de 1988 y enero de 1989. El compositor de Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, se sentía presionado al crear canciones para Bleach que estuvieran dentro del género del grunge, impulsado por esta discográfica y la escena musical de Seattle. El álbum está considerado como bastante negativo y desolador; Cobain afirmó que la mayoría de las letras se escribieron la noche anterior a grabar, cuando se sentía «molesto» y no las tuvo en alta estima. Bleach est le premier album studio du groupe américain de grunge Nirvana, sorti le 15 juin 1989 aux États-Unis sur le label Sub Pop en cassette et en vinyle 12" (30 cm), puis au format CD au Royaume-Uni par Tupelo Records. Après le succès de l'album Nevermind en 1991, Sub Pop et Geffen Records ressortent conjointement une édition le 15 décembre 1992 avec deux morceaux en plus. En 2009, l'album est la meilleure vente de l'histoire du label Sub Pop avec plus de 1,7 million d'exemplaires vendus aux États-Unis (disque de platine). Une édition proposée pour son vingtième anniversaire propose en plus une dizaine de chansons enregistrées lors du concert au Pine Street Theater de Portland le 9 février 1990. Bleach is the debut studio album by American rock band Nirvana, released on June 15, 1989, by Sub Pop. After the release of their debut single "Love Buzz" on Sub Pop in November 1988, Nirvana rehearsed for two to three weeks in preparation for recording a full-length album. The main recording sessions for Bleach took place at Reciprocal Recording in Seattle, Washington between December 1988 and January 1989. It is the only Nirvana album released on the Sub Pop label and their only album to feature drummer Chad Channing.
