Rattenkönig is an introverted journey to a claustrophobic heavy atmosphere.This album sounds a bit less aggressive than the previous one as it′s more based on paranoia feelings, isolation and mental downfall.

KK Fosser (Grave digger by trade and Warlock by faith) along with his assistant Remsen, head to the Manor of The Seven Gables located in Salem, Massachusetts to hide from the townspeople after performing a Ritualistic Ceremony on Mary Hawthorne. Word was the manor was governed by a coven of witches. This is where they meet Sarah, a scullery maid as well as a witch. She brings KK and Remsen into the basement until she can figure out how to introduce them to the coven.

Знакомость мотивов дополняется не очень серьезными операциями на теле композиционных схем, и в результате получаем олдскул с неокостеневшей мозговой тканью. В продолжение предыдущего поста о поющих инструменталистах. Еще один неизменный участник Genesis - клавишник Тони Бэнкс тоже сам пел на своих сольных альбомах в 1980-е. Получается у него, по моему, лучше, чем у Майка Разефрорда. Голос не сильный, но приятный. По крайне мере, когда я услышал как поет Бэнкс то подумал: "Вот так он и должен петь!" ) Голос гармонирует даже с внешним обликом Бэнкса - он всегда такой спокойный, интеллигентный, сосредоточенный.)

Что сразу обращает на себя внимание уже на характерном однострунном тремольном риффе, что встречал нас и на предыдущем альбоме, и вот здесь - более резкий и шершавый звук гитар, более холодный и не такой насыщенный низами, нежели на "Noregs Vaapen". Короче, более блэковый, хотя, казалось бы, куда еще... Вокал фирменный, с нотками истеричности - периодически встречаются беглые хоровые распевки и кличи в одиночном исполнении Хёста. Короче, ну настолько все в духе предыдущего творчества и духа истинного норвежского черного метала - негде развернуться в объяснениях.

Limbo is a 1996 album by the American alternative rock band Throwing Muses, released on Rykodisc. The album was recorded at the same New Orleans studio the band recorded University. The US edition has a different cover image in several background colours. The album was also released in the United Kingdom on red vinyl limited to 2,000 copies. The US vinyl version is a standard black vinyl pressing. As of November 2014, We Started Nothing had sold 639,876 copies in the United Kingdom.
