The soundtrack to the 2015 jazz biopic Born to Be Blue features music that strongly evinces, but never quite lives up to, the sound of the film's main protagonist, the late trumpeter/vocalist Chet Baker. Starring Ethan Hawke as Baker and directed by Robert Budreau, Born to Be Blue is a semi-fictitious retelling of Baker's life set during his career comeback in the 1960s.

Vangelis has revealed details of upcoming album Rosetta, inspired by the European Space Agency mission of the same name. The 13-track suite was inspired by the 12-year operation that landed the Philae module on Comet P67 in 2014. The programme will end on September 30, when the Rosetta parent vehicle is slow-crashed on to the comet.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2016 was the 61st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden, following Sweden's victory at the 2015 contest in Vienna with the song "Heroes", performed by Måns Zelmerlöw. This was the third time the contest had taken place in Stockholm, after 1975 and 2000, the latter also being held at the Globe. The contest consisted of two semi-finals on 10 and 12 May and the final on 14 May 2016, with all three live shows hosted by Zelmerlöw and Petra Mede.

The VIVALDI METAL PROJECT is a music creation born from an idea conceived and developed by Italian keyboard player, composer and producer MISTHERIA (solo artist, Bruce Dickinson, Rob Rock, Roy Z, Artlantica).
The project is a symphonic-metal opera based on Antonio Vivaldi’s Baroque masterwork “The Four Seasons”, featuring more than 130 amazing metal and classical artists, orchestra, a string quartet and three choirs from all over the world. Van Morrison and the guests selected and recorded some of his songs from the catalog of 360 songs across his career. Deliberately steering away from his more well-known classics, Van enlisted some of the artists he most respects to perform these songs with him to re-craft and re-imagine them. The album was recorded in his home town of Belfast and London in the United Kingdom over the last year, using a variety of musicians and fresh arrangements.
