Да и поровнее продукция будет: радует «правильно» прописанный бас, партии которого всегда слышно заднем плане, а басисту, как говорится, есть что показать. Молотит по барабанам никто иной как Джо Кангелози, который в середине девяностых записал с Kreator знаменитый «Cause Of Conflict». Материал получился весьма разнообразным, забойным, несмотря на частые смены ритма и то, что в группе только одна гитара. Она, кстати, частенько как будто уступает место басу, который его мастерски заполняет. Но и не стоит думать, что это этакий техно-трэш, это вполне нормальный трэш, сыгранный по-живому со здоровой долей раздолбайства. "Voice of Sanity", "Hiroshima", "Insult to Injury", да практически все песни являются этакими небольшими металлическими оргиями, а "Ticket to Mayhem/4E.S." – довольно интересным инструменталом. Так что вывод ясен: недооцененная в своё время банда!

Второй свой полноформатный альбом Wehrmacht благородно посвятили любимому пенному напитку. И чего уж, казалось бы, можно ожидать от релиза с подобным названием, подобным оформлением, да еще и песнями вроде "Suck My Dick", "You Broke My Heart (So I Broke Your Face)" (полный восторг!) или "Drink Beer Be Free"? Явно не умного, многогранного материала, придерживающегося нелинейных сюжетов, с грамотно выстроенным балансом между экстремальностью и мелодичностью. И очень зря. Ведь "Biermächt" именно таким и является... Ну, по крайней мере, отчасти. Или же просто умело притворяется. В общем, тот случай, когда без пол-литра (пива, конечно же) не разобраться.

Wyrd was originally formed under the name of Hellkult in Hyvinkää, Uusimaa, Finland. After the departure of Kalma in 1998, it became a solo project of Narqath (also in Azaghal) until 2005, when JL Nokturnal joined as drummer. Wyrd makes a folkloristic version of black metal and the lyrics are about old folklore and Nordic mythology.

I freely admit that Worriers was one of those bands I should have known much more about prior to attending the Fest last year. Missing out on their appearance in Gainesville is quickly becoming my biggest regret. Luckily, it looks like I’ll be able to rectify that in short order as they are embarking on a tour with Brian Fallon in support of this, their latest album, You or Someone You Know.

Places I Have Never Been is the third studio album, and first in ten years, by singer/songwriter Willie Nile.

If I Was a River is the ninth studio album from American singer-songwriter Willie Nile. The all-piano album was released in November 2014 under River House Records. Nile recorded If I Was a River on the same Steinway grand piano that he played the night John Lennon was killed, December 8, 1980. Nile was in Studio "A" at The Record Plant in New York City making Golden Down and John and Yoko were working on Walking on Thin Ice in Studio C that night.

American Ride is the eighth studio album from American musician Willie Nile. It was released in June 2013 under Loud & Proud Records.

In 1988, at the pinnacle of the “Hollywood Hair Metal” craze, WILDSIDE, then called YOUNG GUNNS, was formed by guitarist Benny Rhynedance and singer Drew Hannah. Both were 1986 hair metal transplants from the pre-grunge Seattle music scene, which in 1986, did not exist yet.
By 1988 in Los Angeles, after slugging it out for two years in the LA club scene as glam rockers Rogue and enduring the Hollywood “Pay to Play” club promoter rip-off, Benny and Drew disbanded their original Seattle band. They then formed THE BOYZ, which became YOUNG GUNNS, and recruited second guitarist Brent Woods from the Sunset Strip band ALRISHA, and bassist Marc Simon from local heroes ST. VALENTINE. The lineup was soon completed with the addition of drummer Johnny Dean, but he soon left the band.
The guys searched for a permanent drummer and dominated the Sunset Strip and the Whisky-A-Go-Go on the weekly Monday night “No Bozo Jam” shows. After a year and a half of “false starts and flakes,” they found ex-NRG and KANE ROBERTS drummer Jimmy D. from San Bernardino, CA to finally complete the classic lineup.
This is when the hard work truly began. With a solid lineup, the band began an all-out assault on Hollywood. Sold out shows followed at the Roxy, Whisky, Troubadour, Gazzarri’s, and X-Poseur 54. Front page covers on all of the LA rock press magazines arose, and record labels began to take notice.
Diligently writing and rehearsing in their shared Hollywood gigs, the boys played endlessly throughout 1988-1989. When they weren’t ripping through impassioned sets, they were putting up flyers on every telephone pole in town. Their self-determination turned self-promotion into an art form and soon the band’s name was on everyone’s lips.
However, the band needed to eventually change their name. Originally known as YOUNG GUNNS between ’88 to ‘90, the producers of a western film using a similar title (released incidentally after the band was already well on its way) from Lionsgate Studios and Artisan Entertainment issued a series of cease and desist warnings and wanted $350,000 for the rights to the name.
After another late night Sunset Strip gig, while the guys were afterwards at the Rainbow bar, the name WILDSIDE was thrown around and seemed to fit their lifestyle perfectly, while being inspired by the Lou Reed song of the same name.
With their new name, a new phase of the band history was about to begin. But, that’s another story…

The Purple Album is the twelfth studio album by British hard rock band Whitesnake. It contains remakes of songs from Deep Purple band lineups Mark III and Mark IV, when Whitesnake lead singer David Coverdale was a member of that band. It was released on 29 April in Japan, 15 May in Europe, 18 May in the UK and 19 May 2015 in the US through Frontiers Records. The album debuted at number 87 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of around 6,900 units in its first week of release. It is also the first album since the band's 1989 studio album, Slip of the Tongue, to feature 'classic' Whitesnake drummer Tommy Aldridge.

A Song in My Heart is the first studio album from Welsh tenor, Wynne Evans and was released on 21 March 2011. Evans has signed a six-album deal with Warner Music. The album went to number one in the classical albums chart in Wales in its first week of release.

A great collection of some of Wolle's best songs! Most are from the 90's and some are re-recorded versions of his earlier material, such as Tu's Doch, Mein Zuhaus, Sommer in der Stadt, etc. The re-recorded versions do sound a bit more modern and I like them, but I prefer the original versions. Anyway, he's got such a great voice and his music is so catchy and uplifting. I do understand some German, and he sings so clearly that it's easy for me to understand what he's singing about, even if I don't know every single word.
