Как показывает практика, дуэты – штука хорошая, причём не только в музыке. За примерами далеко ходить не надо: Фредди Меркьюри и Монсеррат Кабалье, Карл Маркс и Фридрих Энгельс, ну, или Проктер и Гэмбл, наконец. Так и в данном случае. Однажды Массе Броберг (Емперор Магус Калигула) и Матти Мякела (Доминион) – тогдашние басист/вокалист и гитарист Dark Funeral, решили ускользнуть от бдительного ока своего непосредственного начальника по основной группе Лорда Аримана и замутить какой-нибудь сайд-проект. Не мудрствуя лукаво, обозвали это дело именами себя, любимых. Вот так и родился Dominion Caligula. Доукомплектовав состав и отмыв корпспейнт со своих физиономий, бравые шведские “похоронщики” записали единственный альбом “A New Era Rises”.

Как-то так получилось, что, когда вспоминаешь о «Killing on Adrenaline», он всегда воспринимается дебютом Dying Fetus, хотя на самом деле таковым не является. Но, по крайней мере, качественный прорыв в музыкальном отношении произошел именно на нем, и им же группе было обеспечено место в металическом мэйнстриме. Собственный саунд группа отшлифовала сразу же. Музыка звучит очень приземленно: этому способствуют не совсем чистый саунд, рельефность звучания всех инструментов и в основном средние и медленные темпы. Тяжелые, будто бы буравящие землю риффы, ловко приобретают динамику и техничность исполнения когда это требуется.

Deep Purple in Rock is the fourth studio album by English rock band Deep Purple, released on 5 June 1970. It was the first studio album recorded by the Mark II line-up of Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice.
Work on In Rock began shortly after Gillan and Glover joined the band in June 1969, with rehearsals at Hanwell Community Centre. The music was intended to be loud and heavy, and accurately represent the group's live show. Recording took place at various studios around London in between extensive touring, during which time songs and arrangements were honed into shape.

There are two CD versions of the album, a single CD and a double CD, and a vinyl version, a double LP printed on purple vinyl, with the track listing being identical to the single CD version.
The single CD version concentrates on the greatest hits of Deep Purple through the years, and contains mostly edited single versions of the songs, for example "Child in Time", which was over ten minutes long in its original form on the album Deep Purple in Rock.
